Wish we were as doomed as you are!

Got a chance now, Chesterfield seem to be getting worse by the week and Barnet so far have shown no signs of stopping the rot.

Great goal to win it by the way. Can’t do much about those!

Yes Reid! Great result, finally two decent centre backs and Collins did a great job in midfield.

You aren't doomed, and based on the showing today we may not be either. I thought our new signings slotted in nicely, Gunning and Rawson were no nonsense and didn't muck around in dangerous areas, as for Reid...what a signing, scoring the winner on your debut, best way to introduce yourself to your new club. We did ride our luck a bit in the last ten minutes or so, but still tried to play good football, we even managed to run the clock down a bit in time added on. On the balance of play we probably deserved to win, but only just, had we conceded an equaliser at the end we probably couldn't have complained too loudly...but the defence held out, for once. Even though our form had been lousy of late, five consecutive defeats, there were a couple of games where we possibly deserved a point but got none...the new signings seem to have swung things back in our favour.

Looks as though Aspin kept them in the dressing room a long time after the game!

Still locked in well over an hour after the game!

Said when we had a young Collins that he would eventually make a solid central midfielder. Never looked like a bad centre back/left back but he’s good on the ball. Does he still do those random surgingbruns forward?

Aspins not happy! Apologised to the fans and reckons it was back to square one today. Hopefully a reaction next weekend.

Blimey, we finally found two decent centre backs. We looked solid in defence for the first time this season. Plus a good finish from Reid. Otherwise we were poor in midfield and posed little threat on goal. We also can't hold onto the ball for toffee. Still a big improvement though. On to the invasion fixture in Wiltshire.

Only just realised that one of Swindon’s big derbies this season is you lot.

Great result for FGR: moved us out of automatic relegation.
It was not a bad game to watch and Port Vale are not as bad as some of their supporters on site claim.
Neither team will be relegated.

Yes, did one today! He's been one of the few signings to improve across the first half of the season. Pleased with the result and the performance today.

Basically, this means we are better than Vale and Luton but not as good as Quorn!

Just listening to Cooper and he reckons we kept Pope (who he clearly really rates) quiet as much as you not getting going. Hard to tell either way from commentary only.

I like the Radio Glos comms, they're good lads but they have a habit of making the oppo sound more dangerous/on top then they actually ever get.

The fact it apparently sounded comfortable tells you everything, we defended solidly but they were surprisingly toothless and never put us under much pressure at all tbh. Their final bell was shocking. Scrappy game but deserved win.

Rawson, Gunning and Reid look good signings based on that, Collins motm though and rightly so.

Yep, that's so true of Bob and Billy. Of course never hear them for the games I'm at but Bob especially goes ballistic at any near the pen area.

Billy and Joycie is far easier on the heart, when Bob is still covering the cricket in the late summer, and they seemed to work really well together.

Nail on the head Chris, our final ball was truly abysmal , the amount of times we either over hit the cross or hit the first man, particularly first half was criminal.
You looked steady, but can i just ask you about the lad Monthe, he looked one of the worst footballers i have ever seen in my life. Kept attempting to dribble out of defence, treading on the ball, nearly falling over. Remarkably we never seemed to notice this , well at least our players didn't !

Worrall is starting to frustrate a bit with this... he should easily stand out at this level, he won promotion to the Championship last year and is only here as he was home sick but he hasn't really hit the heights yet.

Haha, yeah Manny does like to run the ball out of defence, thinking his size and strength will stop opposition nicking the ball and occasionally can cause problems as he has a bit of pace. Unfortunately his ball control and awareness are virtually nonexistent so most of the time he plays us into trouble, made a lot of howlers this season.
