we've won all 5 visits to Colchesters new ground infact we've won every away game vs Colchester since 1992.

It's been awful week off the field for Crewe fans. My club seems to have rightly or wrongly has been targeted by the British media and become something of a scapegoat. Just hope all the turmoil doesn't effect the players too much. It's the sort of thing will either unify us or destroy us. Just hope as a team and fans we stick together, until we know any different everyone to do with the club is innocent of anything until proven guilty, and this is all the sick twisted doing of one twisted human being.

Any back to the football

Colchester 1-2 Crewe (Dickenson, Lowe, Kiwomya) 2855 (196 Railwaymen)

Plenty at the club guilty of treating it like an inconvinience tho. More stories and damaging articles breaking tonight/tomorrow. On the pitch just seems so irrelevant.

Some of the journalism has been very poor though. Especially from the BBC, as they say those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw bricks.

Surely we have to beat Crewe one day... surely?

Can we stop this "victim" approach our fans are having to our media attention. Our club isnt being targeted, the media is just bypassing the other clubs involved. We deserve all the bad press we get because, at the end of the day, kids were abused at Crewe Alexandra, the media are not wrong there. This "oh Crewe are getting targeted" is just bollocks and plain disrespectful to the players that were abused. It just paints us Crewe fans as if we care about the club image more than anything else at the moment.

The game is not important. Although id like a win.

Agree. The anger should be at the club and how they have acted over the last 25 years. The club have made its bed, such as not releasing a statement for five days and who knows what else in terms of Bennel's employment, so tough shit if it's getting flack. I support Crewe Alexandra FC, that doesn't mean I blindly support individuals like Bowler and their decisions.

I thought we were really excellent in the first half, the hassling and harrying gave Crewe no time on the ball at all and stopped them from playing short at the back. They could barely keep hold of the ball for more than a few seconds at a time (or so it seemed) as we were applying a lot of pressure, and we ought to have been 3-0 up by half-time really in what was a dominant 45 minutes. Garratt made a superb save from a Richard Brindley header which seemed destined to go in and Johnstone should have done better with a chance at the back post.

We seemed to come out more defensively in the second half and for the first 25 minutes after the break the pressure had reversed. We were sitting off and allowing Crewe more time to play and it seemed as though the equaliser was coming. The second goal was crucial though and although it was against the run of play a bit, Garvan's goal settled it and the rest of the game was really comfortable again.

The worst week in the history of Crewe Alexandra rounded off in the worst possible fashion.

Shambolic. Not going another game till #davisout is gone. Seriously, I don't care if that's years.

I can't see Bowler being here long after the 'investigation' is over either. Possibly (for the future, at least) a blessing in disguise. Needed fresh ideas for years.

I think he's my new favourite player this season. He looked so good back in August and has shown how much we must have missed him since his return from injury in the past couple of weeks with some more impressive displays. He's really strong, never stops battling away and has such a sweet left foot.

He was my favourite Gills player last season, and that was a squad that included a Premier League standard defender and also the best player in the league. Just love the way he plays, 100% all the time, great attitude and a demon of a cross. Never really added the goals with us so delighted he's stepped that part of his game up.
