    2023/24 League Two Play-Offs

Forgive his pessimism but I believe it'll pretty much be a similar attendance of around 9000. The weekly pay brigade get their packets today so a fair few are shifting this afternoon. If 7000 home fans will turn up in the freezing cold to watch us play Barrow, I'm sure we'll get well over 7000...

2024/25 Squads - KEEP/GET RID/BURN THEM AT THE STAKE, etc

Seems we've kept Conor Thomas on a 2 year deal which is surprising, especially if we get promoted this Summer as he'll be totally ineffective in League One and a squad player in League Two at best. I wouldn't have been surprised if it was 1 year but 2 years is far too steep. That said, I'd...

Surprised he's left. Seemed to be really enjoying it up there so must've been Wild's decision?

    2023/24 League Two Play-Offs

As it should be. Should always put your own first. Did find it funny some Doncaster fans moaned we wouldn't give them more tickets though. We didn't have to give Doncaster any more than 1000 and have given them the full away end. Wouldn't have got that at Crawley or Barrow. Plus we've just had...

    Joining League Two for 24/25

Gutted for Alty here. Guaranteed new ground next year at least which is a rarity with Crewe these days. But I've worked near Solihull's ground quite a bit and I know that ground just isn't appealing at all...

    2023/24 League Two Promotion Thread

We've been to Wembley 4 times and never conceded a goal in normal time. Unfortunately we lost our first visit to York on penalties but 3 wins since. I'd have rather played MK than Doncaster in the playoffs though. MK are cursed in the playoffs whereas the last time we played Doncaster over 2...

    Saturday 27th April

Alec Chamberlain did almost exactly the same for Watford against us 20 years ago. We were never going to score in the circumstances but, like the Doncaster incident, it's the cynical nature of a keeper desperately trying to take no chances with a deliberate handball that means he absolutely...

    Final day fixtures

Having stayed up in a similar manner to how Burton did on the final day in this league not once but twice where we couldn't be arsed and lost to teams with nothing to play for, I would be absolutely embarrassed if we stayed up because other results went our way. Imagine being turned over by a...

We don't look like scoring again so if Barrow score 2 without reply it's curtains.

So did Rushden tbf. Whereas we've been in the league for 103 years and COVID and Swindon having a game in hand denied us one.

Really feel for Morecambe. Excellent club who really did improve on and off the pitch soon as Adams came in. Gates up massively and got to the third tier. Such a shame that someone wants to run them into the ground. Very good awayday too even if we go there when its bastard cold every year...

    League 1 General Chat Thread

Was similar for us in the 90s. We got to the Championship and sold out every week and could only offer away fans 900 tickets. That had to change hence the Main Stand was built which helped us generate more income and capitalised on gates. Our only error was not putting in corporate facilities...

    Joining League Two for 24/25

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure Barnet Council and Tony Kleanthous the Barnet Chairman absolutely despise each other and it's been a very long running feud between both parties. I'm pretty sure that was the reason as to why Barnet moved in the first place over a decade ago.

Never understood why, for such a large town, Northampton's stadium is strangely small. I know it's a rugby town but the football club has always had solid attendances for a lower league club over the years.
