Definitely think Peterborough are the team to beat. Not surprised at all that they’ve kicked on as much as they have since we drew there!

Too early to tell for us.
We've only played 7 games of which 4 have been away.

We were high on peoples lists to be up there before the season kicked off so it's interesting to see all but one write us off so early.

There were 6 new players kicked off against Bolton and Sunderland so it will take a while for them all to get to know one another's games.

I was away for the Lincoln game and we run out of steam against Doncaster but the signs were good at Sunderland, where we should really have won.

With a home game against Shrewsbury on Saturday then 2 tough looking games at Ipswich and Blackpool, I think we will get a better idea of where we are at the end of the month.

I seem to recall we didn't pull any trees up early on last time we were promoted so I'm not too worried just yet.

Think when we have Ogbene back from injury we will start to look very dangerous, not once have we had opportunity to have him and Hastie on pitch at same time who are natural pacey wingers.

Top 6 based on so far though.

Ipswich
Peterborough
Sunderland
Portsmouth
Doncaster
Coventry

I'm confident we'll be in there end of season but I don't know which one it will be instead of.

Ogbene is supposed to be 10 days away from returning to the squad according to Warnes team news yesterday.

Obviously he will ease him back in from the subs bench but who do you reckon he would/could replace in the team?

It would be difficult to drop Wiles, Lindsey or Crooks on recent performances and I imagine Hastie is the first name on the team sheet.

He wouldn't replace any of those he plays winger in front 3 so it would be Morris or Ladapo.

Morris has been very impressive, much better than his last loan spell and he isn't 100% fit yet.

I've got to admit I wasn't bothered when he signed on loan but he holds the ball up well, links well with Ladapo and brings supporting midfielders into the game.

Can't see Warne dropping Freddie either so Ogbene might have to be patient when he gets fit.

It's a nice problem to have TBF, and there's always injuries/suspensions which will see the team change at some point.

Remember seeing Carlton Morris in the youth cup for Norwich a good while back and he was a class above everyone else on the pitch, especially in terms of physicality. Surprised that he's nearly 24 and yet to really pull up any trees.

Has all the attributes you want from a striker, if he does well this season and adds goals then i'd be surprised if a Championship club doesn't take a punt on him. I'd be happy for PNE to take the gamble, certainly ticks a lot of boxes for us, especially if he's out of contract.

He didn't particularly stand out for us during his last loan, but he was quite often suffering from the various injuries that players get while they are growing into manhood.

This season he started slow but appears to be getting more influential game by game.
I know it seems unlikely that he will get in the Norwich team as things stand, but if they come back down you never know.
They must think a lot about him because they keep giving him contracts, they gave him a new one until 2021 before they sent him out to us.

Maybe it was a bad day for Sunderland, but on that showing yesterday, they won't be going up

The final two places could be any from Fleetwood, Coventry, Portsmouth, Shrewsbury, Oxford, Doncaster, Blackpool and Burton, but have plumped for Portsmouth and Oxford. God knows though, because it seems to be so competitive.

Of the top six, I predicted in the early predictions thread, Portsmouth have started so poorly, that it will be a big ask to recover the lost ground. Sunderland haven't started that well, so not sure they'll make an automatic spot. Ipswich have surprised me as thought they might take some time adapting, so they've replaced Portsmouth in my top six. The other five as before, but with a few amendments to positions

Probably cheating a bit here. Still yet to play Ipswich & Pompey in the league with Rotherham coming next week.
My heart says Oxford will finish Top 3 but my head says I’m not allowed to officially predict that. Feel like once we’ve played the 3 teams mentioned yet to play it’ll be a good time to readdress this topic.

We won’t be anywhere near the top 4, probably not even the top half unless sufficient funds are made available in January for a replacement for Marquis

Well I think the teams mentioned above have shown a LOT more than the teams not included in the list.
