Seen a least 3 different wolves fans refer to this as a potential banana skin. You know as we play a side above us, and who have established themselves in the prem in a manner we never did. And are right behind us on the all time total points table despite having played 30 odd less games...

Definitely the sort of fans who wanted Nuno sacked for daring to lose 4 in a row in the most parity based top league.

Lucky Wolves it would seem. On the day, I think we can play and beat any side in the division but I do wonder if the same can be said against us...anyone can beat us. It seems a bit of a numbers game....Huddersfield and Cardiff won it, Bournemouth and Newcastle lost it. We soak the pressure then hit on the counter.
Bournemouth and Newcastle fans must be gutted. Haven't watched the Chelsea game.

I wouldn't say we were lucky. I think we deserved the win but it wasn't comfortable... then again we haven't been comfortable in a game since Southampton in September. The conditions made it very difficult for either team to play how they wanted. Bournemouth enjoyed much of the possession but they didn't really do anything with it, and struggled all day to break down our defense.

Agree with the rest of your post.. I actually feel confident going into the Liverpool game which would sound crazy to most neutrals. Exactly the sort of game where the odds are stacked against us and we pull something off.

We're in a tricky place at the moment. Glad we got plenty of points on the board early, because the current run of fixtures and results is taking its toll. You could bring half a dozen better but injured players into our lineup yesterday. It's funny how you pickup more injuries during a run of defeats, and how the two feed into each other. Another one yesterday for the list in Mings.

But you have to work with what you've got. And the senior players remaining are expected to lead and steady the ship.

To that end it's disappointing when one of your really senior blokes Daniels gives that opening goal away. I mean we had Ibe on the other full back, if one of them was going to do something stupid you'd stick your house on it being Ibe. He actually did kinda ok as it happens.

Going behind so early means we could be given lots of possession by Wolves, happy to sit a bit deeper and frustrate.

A couple months ago that would have played right into our hands, we would have picked multiple holes in that deep sitting defence. But thats not happening right now. The creativity requires a physical and mental energy that's drained from us.

Wolves played the game in front of them well and did enough, likely without getting into their top gear?

Chelsea away in the cup on Weds, where we'd usually make 9+ changes. Considering how thin we are, it'll be interesting to see what Eddie does, we don't exactly have 9 or more obvious replacements! Unless he goes youth team. That might get messy for us.

I don't think you are in a particularly tricky place. You are half way up the table, three points off a place in Europe, playing entertaining football with a decent, committed manager, a wealthy owner, a ground that has a bowling green next door and a 1990s Man City away hand-me down strip. A tricky place is where Fulham, Saints and Huddersfield live. And where Cardiff live, only Colin doesn't know it yet.
Like us, I think you will do better against the top 6 or 7 than against the bottom 6 or 7 as you like the space to play football.

Said it before but that Bournemouth kit is sneaky great. Not sure why it don't get more love. The difference between you and the other sides is you (bit like us) look like that when you do turn it around you will either win a couple in a row or go a few games unbeaten again. That sort of form surges you up the table anywhere outside the top 6.

It's what I think really separates us both from the other non elite. Look at where West Ham are now for example.
