A mixture of domestic titles and european titles together with fanbase.

For me the main factor to determine greatness is the number of Champions Leagues.

Notthingham Forest is a curious case under my criteria, i don't know how to qualify them.

Notthingham Forest is a curious case under my criteria, i don't know how to qualify them.

They are, and that's why when comparing between English sides it's often interesting to use seasons spent at each level as part of it. Obviously for this kind of comparison it's a bit redundant, but then it's a pretty difficult comparison to make between midlands clubs in England and Peruvian club(s).

Anyway, even here Forest are a pain, as they've spent 56 seasons in the top division, and 56 out of it

Hello!

In my humble opinion, what makes a club "big" is a combination of all the mentioned above: fan base, national and international accomplishments. Leicester City, for example, is the underdog to beat. It will interesting to see if in the next decades they can make the transition towards the "big club category": international recognition that will lead to a bigger fan base around the world. Only time will tell. Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to see how they do in the 16/17 Champions League.
