Jamie Sendles-White leaving us and rumoured to be heading to Maidstone next season.

Gary Johnson says: "Jamie has been unlucky with injuries and, with those injuries, he has found it difficult training on the 4G pitch"

Which I guess rules out a move to Maidstone.

Lol. He's class. Probably better deployed at DM but I will be amazed if a league club doesn't sign him this summer.

Sweeney was a 1 man defending machine when we played Barnet away in the FA Cup this year. He was literally everywhere and won everything!

John Sheridan could look to the Football League to bolster his midfield options for next season, with a familiar face and a vastly experienced operator linked with moves to Chesterfield.
Sources outside the Proact suggest that former Spireite Danny Gardner and Plymouth man David Fox are among Sheridan's summer targets as he looks to build a promotion bid in the National League.

Neither suprise me..

Bring back Derek Niven, Scott Griffiths and Dean Morgan!

EDIT - That was a good squad that season with Lester, Morgan, Davies and Smalley up front.

Yep, won the league at an absolute canter and went onto the win the JPT the season after. Even pre Paul Cook we still had a decent side. Wonder what those 3 are up to now

Loved Derek Niven when we had him. Absolutely crunch the fuck out of someone to win the ball and get the crowd all hyped up and then mess up a 2 yard pass within 2 seconds.

Tarpey has rejected a new deal because he wants to go part time next year.

Chesterfield close to signing Maidstone striker Blair Turgott
Would be a great signing for any brother club at this level.

Expected Chesterfield, Dagenham, Barnet and Wrexham to be looking at him.

His record down here is superb for a winger. He just can't ever seem to make the step up.

A poster on our forum is insistent that we're signing Kurt Willoughby, but it's probably just cos he and our manager have started following each other on Twitter. I imagine it's the same story with that Spennymoor lad.

Great potential but he's raw. If you're relying on him then you'll probably get a bit frustrated here and there. Heard that we're interested as well.

He seems to possess a goal scorers instinct which is difficult to find but his all round game could do with some work I think (similar to Jason Oswell for us last season)

Certainly worth a punt for any NLN or NL sides looking for a cheap alternative.

Anybody else's forums obsessed with signing former players? It's almost like they know fuck all and they're the only players they know.
Our fans are terrible for that.
We got a fair few who want to bring back players from when we won the Ryman Premier in 2015 :ffs:

Inadvertently it led to us re-signing Grant Holt last season. It was a disaster, obviously. There are still some who pine for a Scottish keeper we had on loan nearly a decade ago, and a couple of lads who now play part-time somewhere in the Welsh leagues because they ran around a lot.

Oh yes ours is dreadful for that. And I think you've hit on the reason why.

Players who have long since either a) gone onto far better things
B) gone to shit
Or c) long since retired.

Hartlepool fans love him then :D

he has a fair record at TNS, seems to have settled in the area and his old coach Carl Darlington works with us. i think it will happen and happy to give him benefit of doubt, until he is shit

plus no man bun anymore

County are linked with a move for Michael Raynes after his contract with Crewe expires.

I remember Raynes very well having come up through our youth system and playing around 150 games for us in the Football League.

I'd be interested in opinions from Pools fans as I believe he was there on loan towards the end of last season.

He was alright, an upgrade on what we had but his body is made of glass.

We'd probably be looking at him if he wasn't so injury prone and we have a terrible record of signing crocks on long term deals so I'd hope the club are looking to avoid that.

We're supposedly looking at Adam Campbell, ginger winger released by Morecambe. Methinks there's something in this as the club have been very public about getting in players with NE roots. Which is fine on the face of it..

But he's not very good, and that's the problem.
