Ok - so the Trophy isn't as thrilling to some - Tranmere fans for one will say they don't care about it when they lose, like they did in the FA Cup.... but here goes;-

Solihull 4-0 Matlock
Alfreton 3-2 North Ferriby
Harrogate 1-3 Barrow
York 0-1 Worcester
Chorley 1-1 Guiseley
Witton 0-2 Chester
Wrexham 2-1 Tranmere
Ebbsfleet 1-0 Woking
Dagenham 4-0 Worthing
Harlow 1-3 Eastleigh
Braintree 1-2 Torquay
East Thurrock 1-3 Aldershot
Dartford 1-3 Dover
Sutton 3-0 Bath
Forest Green 3-4 Truro
Boreham Wood 2-2 Maidstone
Bromley 4-0 Leiston
Shaw Lane P-P Lincoln

No game for us as our plan to deliberately freeze Alty's pitch twice and then orchestrate a draw to force a replay, so we can get a rest before playing Oxford, has all come together.
Massive Macc post-Christmas fixture pile-up ahoy!
Should be a decent enough crowd home to Truro for us and despite chipmunx obvious delusions we'll have enough to win it. BULL(calf)ISH.

Given the last three times we've played lower league opposition in a cup competition we've lost, not sure what to think. Would hope we have enough to turn them over, but we have a few injuries, and the last thing we need is a replay on Monday night. Think we'll squeak it though, 1-0 Shots.

Oh you've definitely got enough to win even with your reserves - if your boss wants you to win - but given that you didn't seam to try too hard in the FA Cup i'm suspecting the same may happen again ;)

Strong team he reckons but as you say we're capable of chucking anything. FA cup was a great effort by Sutton though, wouldn't take that away from them.

We'll either be playing our Trophy game when we should be playing Tranmere or the 20th December, which is when we supposed to be playing our re-arranged game (and game in hand) at Solihull.

Not sure whether the FA Trophy takes priority over league games at first round stage?

Surely common sense will prevail and Lincoln won't move a game that will be a big crowd for an f.a trophy match?

If our game next week is moved for the rescheduled trophy game then that's a farce. One of the biggest games so far in the national league.

We've sold 450 tickets to date and should have around 750-900 on the day of what should be a 5k crowd?

**** off.

We've hardly won a game in this for about 7 years, consistently appearing to not give a shit, fielding weakened teams and losing to lower division sides. Even last year when we were head and shoulders above nearly every other non league team we still lost 2-0 to Havant ffs. the year before that we drew at home to Didcot.

Maybe under MC we might actually try this year, he's won it before with Darlo and might fancy giving it another crack. Doubt it though.

And this isn'the prediction league chipmunx, stick to the rules.

Lol. I literally just noticed you've put us down to lose. At home. To Truro. Not happening.

:ffs:

no way we will win this. essentially its a freebie weekend to get some players some game time and maybe try some new tactics. effort needed to progress in this comp far outweighs financial benefits

Unbeaten run comes CRASHING DOWN in SPECTACULAR FASHION, leading to MELTDOWN in the league and Cox getting sacked by Easter.

Maybe.

yes - but Tranmere claimed they were doing that against us in the FA Cup - just because they knew they would lose - so said they didn't care/try. If they really didn't care about the FA Cup they won't about the Trophy... And Mellon was the manager for the FA Cup tie not Brabin - so maybe?

From a Wrexham prospective the FA Trophy must represent something worth going for as you clearly arent going up and you will have enough to comfortably finish mid table?

Absolutely crazy prices from Wayne for our game against North Ferriby. £14/£10/£2. Clearly he is aiming to beat the 175 that turned up for the Gainsborough replay, yet he continues to moan about poor attendances?! :dk:

Other First Round Ties -

Kidderminster v AFC Telford
Nuneaton Town v Stocksbridge Park Steels
AFC Flyde v Brackley Town
Stockport v Marine
Chelmsford v Hitchin Town
Whitehawk v Weymouth
Dulwich Hamlet v Royston Town
Wealdstone v Wingate and Finchley
South Park v North Leigh
AFC Sudbury v Gosport Borough

Also spare a thought for Kings Lynn Town who travelled to Weymouth on Tuesday Night for a league fixture before they face a trek to Gatehead for their FA Trophy tie! Ouch.

Once again I would not be surprised if Matlock went to Solihull and came away with something. It certainly wont be 4-0.

I think That the Shaw Lane V Lincoln game will be classed as any other postponed game in the Trophy and played the following mid week night, eg The Altrincham v Blyth game originally scheduled for a Saturday was postponed , rearranged for the following Tuesday, postponed again and finally played on the following Tuesday

As CK rarely changes the side it's certain, bar maybe a change in midfield that we will start with a really strong side, and as such even though our neighbours are really playing well a narrow win will hopefully follow.
What we do need though is a clean sheet, especially with FGR the following week as it was back to its comical best last weekend and utterly disorganised best the Saturday before at Macclesfield and just the thought of Orlu trying to keep the marauding FGR front line at bay is a really scary one, because he's relly getting worse the more the temperatures drop.

How funny would it be if we keep a clean sheet in N.Korea for the SECOND time this season? I'm thinking a 25 point deduction for them on account of being an embarrassment to the NL if that happens!

Our manager has come out in the local rag and said that he wants a Wembley visit this season (we've never been). I'm not convinced. We've gone out at the first hurdle too many times and I won't be surprised if Witton win this one.
