It’s going to be about how we bat. It’s going to be a huge task on these pitches but the Aussies haven’t picked an all rounder so if we could bat properly there is a chance of tiring them out and getting a score. Getting hold of Lyon would be massive too. He doesn’t look like he should be any good but his figures are. If Stokes plays then I think it’s 50/50.
I can’t believe they haven’t picked Maxwell, that’s good for us.

Top stuff mate, hope were still in it by then, I've been in the mcg it's a hugely impressive place. I was hoping to go this year but doing new Zealand in March as I've not been there so chose that instead.

Think I'll probably do that. I'm on earlies as well next week so getting up for the final session probably makes more sense than staying up for the first.

Jake Ball’s got the nod then. Would much prefer Plunkett in the side but Joe Root et al must see something in Ball they like.

The closer we get the more I think missing Ben Stokes will be what costs us. If both teams play as well as they can I think England are the slightly better team but I reckon the Aussies might just nick it by the odd test.
