Hoping to add to our 6 game unbeaten run against a Bury side who, to date, are terrible away from home. We don’t seem capable of producing a comfortable win so, no doubt, it’ll be another buttock clencher.

We seem to have tightened up at the back with 2 consecutive ‘to nil’ wins, but both Newport and Morecambe were pretty toothless and expect Bury to carry a more potent threat. We have big Dave back from suspension only to be replaced by silly dick Knoyle who saw red with a dreadful lunge last week at Morecambe.

I’d love an uneventful, NATO standard 2-0 win, but no doubt we’ll go a goal down yet again and hope to get away with it yet again. I do predict, though, a decent game. Sorry to be missing this one as I’m off to Nerja so a legitimate use of iFollow is in order.

One of my all time favourite games was back in December 1978 against Bury ..... We had one of our best teams I've had the privilege to watch, Bobby Smith's " Golden Wonders " Mayes and Rowlands in attack, Rey McHale, one of my all time favourite players, Brian ( animal) Williams, Chris Kamara, Billy Tucker.
That day we were unstoppable, half time we were 4-0 up then in the second half, with the town playing towards the Town End, we added another 4 , some of the best attacking football I've ever seen.
Bury have won the last 3 matches we have played against them, but overall we have won 21 times to Burys 16 with 12 draws. Tomorrow I have a feeling that there will be a few goals , with Swindon coming out 3-1 winners in frontt of 6500.

You will win with a very late goal (or 2) after we look like breaking a shit away run (yet again)

Only to be followed 3 days later by stuffing Arsenal 4-3 at the CG. Supposedly 28,000 in the ground but I’ve never been so tightly packed in at a game. The old Shrivvy was rocking that night.

Why are Bury so fragile on the road? (genuine question, not taking the piss)

Defensive cover from the midfield is a big problem the defence is always left exposed - also we've been genuinely shite for the past two years home and away.

Swindon are a good team (I'll be betting on them to win) and I think we'll lose again. Would be more than happy with a point though.

First league game for me. Should be my 3rd but things have gotten in the way.

Think we'll edge a win but Bury have got some dangerous players.

2-1.

I actually think that the team is coming along nicely but our away results are something else.

Minging performance today. Sounds like we missed Doughty and Knoyle today.

We are weak as piss wing back wise and Bury took advantage. From reports sound like Bury deserved their win so fair play to them.

The problem with having such a small squad is biting us in the arse. Especially due to missing players down to Ill discipline.

I think we are away to Yeovil next. Eek

That was the most toe curlingly insipid performance a so called professional team could conjure up. Woeful doesn’t cover it. Our weaknesses have been glaringly obvious for a long time, yet we still have no option other than to keep playing Taylor, Richards and recruiting no cover for RB.

Fucking pap

3 wins on the bounce for us and up to 7th in the league. Fair play to Lowe.

Tragic performance. Not worth the effort to get there and I only live in North Swindon.

Not wishing to sound too dramatic but this club feels dead in many ways. Nobody seems to give a shit from the fans to the players, even the PA sounds bored.

Just a horrible matchday experience all round. Too many players not looking like they had a clue but the lineup from Brown was terrible.

Bury played some nice stuff but could certainly be got at. Just never put them under anywhere near enough pressure.

I'll take that, team is coming along nicely. Fair way to go mind but at least we do not look like a Stockport / Chesterfield car crash.

Should be in top 7 contention I'd have thought.

Nicky Adams had the run of the right hand side up against the powder puff Matty Taylor and our right back position was frankly non existent with the fraud that is James Dunne making up the numbers and error upon error.

Lack of full back options costing us dear as predicted by most.

Brown’s inability to properly recruit wingbacks (and centre backs to a lesser extent) continue to baffle and irritate me. We have ONE suitable left back, who is 37 years old and ONE suitable right back, in Knoyle, who is decent I reckon. Knoyle is suspended for 3 games and Taylor is too old now to play wing back. We have fuckall replacements, (by all accounts Dunne at RB was a disaster) and this is killing us. Spending more or less all our budget on Alzate, Doughty and Diagouraga is all well and good but leaving us in a position so feeble at the back is something Brown has to be blamed for.

Just nice to come away from a weekend with a win especially away from home. Still too early to say what sort of season we will have but the early signs are decent.
