(Watch this blow up in my face now). But we’ll move on from this and push on. What’s to say Carlisle won’t lose the next 6 and do what you’ve done the last few seasons?

Not having a go, please don’t see it that way at all - but is there anything different here to previous to make you confident you can go on and go up, or is it just a good run? The run itself is impressive with the 6-0 and the 4-0 - we’ve not won games by those margins

You guys don’t seem optimistic about your board, guessing this obviously plays a factor.

You’ve a good side, and whereas we contributed to our own downfall more than you contributed to it in the 1st half, I’ve not seen many performances like that this season.

What a team we've got, at the moment that is, that was the best I've seen us play in years. First half it was two good teams and we took our chances, second-half we played some absolutely wonderful football, obviously helped playing 10 men but we looked so confident on the ball. Mansfield were a good team and battled right till the end, but the best team on the day won.

Couldn't pick anyone out as having a bad game, Nadesan will be a big big loss, so fast and never seems to tire, Sowerby has become a real influential player, Devitt was just unbelievable once again.

I agree with most but in the first half we were not a good team at all, I mean that first goal, the space avaliable! It’s the best defence in the league!!!! That was the worst we’ve played all season I reckon although to actually score 2 against Carlisle 1 with ten men in the second half redeemed that somewhat.

Could very easily end up mid table, especially if we don't adequately replace those we've lost or are gonna lose, and also depending on who comes in as manager. I'm just happy we're playing some good football and there's some enthusiasm again.

Maybe I'm basing that on the fact you played some nice football throughout, always looked like you'd get at least one. Even in the second half, despite us looking very comfortable at 2-0, I had a feeling we'd need more to seal it. Mansfield will almost certainly go the distance, whereas we could go either way.

Mansfield weren’t good in the first half and that did help us in outplaying them, but I also thought as much as their 10 men improved second half we helped them. Whilst we still had enough chances to win the game twice over, I felt second half we pissed about a bit, the tempo dropped and players were trying to score the perfect goal rather than just being ruthless. Concentration levels dropped, we were too comfortable, if Sheridan was still here he’d have been going mental at them about it.

The big difference was the belief. You know how they say winning becomes a habit? Well it has done for us recently. It's things like players chasing loose balls and closing the opposition down like they believe they're gonna be first to it or like they're gonna get the tackle in. Kelvin Etuhu has been the epitome of this recently. Any ball that drifts into midfield, he now believes in himself to win it, and since then, more often than not, he does. Keep playing like this and I think automatic promotion is a real possibility.

Id say we've got the best midfield in this league right now.

It's funny, but if you didn't know Carlisle's off field situation, you'd say things look pretty rosy for them at the moment. Flying in the league, won 6 in a row, looking strong bets to make the play offs.

But if the off field stuff is as serious as it's being portrayed, then it might be a deck of cards waiting for a strong breeze to blow it all down. Would be a shame if all that hard work in the first 25 games went to waste by having the team broken up. Don't see why they don't push hard for promotion, the play off race is wide open this season.

Any normal club would try their upmost to push on in this position and make the most of the opportunity, but our board is an absolute shower... they will no doubt be thinking along the lines of this being an opportunity to save some more money until the end of the season. We’re safe from relegation, let’s go all cheap on Sheridan’s replacement, we’re going to lose players this month but because our league status is secure for a year we don’t need adequately replace them until the summer.

They really are unique people our board.

Ha! You just sound so jealous at our success, hey, hey mate listen If it was not for an injury crisis we had then we would already be top and running away with it. But now that January has finally come we are going to splash the cash because our Director of internal affairs wants us to get into The Championship in 2 years time.

So it is good times to be a Carkisle fan and I do mean it when I say we have the best midfield in League Two, much better than Wycombe's and our defence is looking good too.

Folk do get giddy when on good runs, carver being one of them. You were completely shite at field mill earlier this season, lots can change in weeks/months of the season

Taking positives out of yesterday if we play like we did in the 2nd half for the rest of the season (that’s how we have been playing for some while) we’ll be just fine.

Whereas it was nice while it lasted everyone kept banging on about this run - including myself - and hopefully we can push on with a new one. Harnessed correctly a loss can do a lot of good in the long run.

It’s going to be a right one this year, that’s for sure

At least we can take some positives from the last 20/25 but that first half was the worst we’ve played all season. Carlisle running through us at ease. Nevermind, We’ll move on.

I’d take Hope in our side mind, One of the top 5 players I’ve seen against us this season IMO.

Play like you did in the second half and you'll be fine? Eh?

You did FUCK ALL in that second half!!

Scored the two goals and that was it, one a set piece the other a one where our keeper messed up a bit. We should of made it 5-1, there was nothing positive to take from your performance yesterday other than a realisation that you got beat off a bigger and better team and to remember your place as a no hope, mid-table, bottle job.

Agree with Carver to be honest, we were woeful all game, Slight improvement after our first goal as in we actually showed abit of urgency. Bad day at the office for us.

Bishop let himself down for me, Whilst the tackle wasn’t a great one on him, Yellow card for me like he shouldn’t have got up and reacted like he did, He’s meant to be the most expierenced player we’ve got, But he’s been outstanding for us so we can let him off.

Carlisle were just better than us on the day, They wanted it more.

Im not fucking winding them up, I just feel good that we are winning well for a change, unlike yourself who is waiting for us to lose and all hell to brake loose.

So you can do one instead.

So calling them a mid table team (considering they’ve lost 2 and have been up there all season) is not an attempted wind up? Fuck off.

On that basis wouldn’t you also be a mid table side, considering we’re above you with 2 games in hand? Lol

It can’t be a wind up when it’s so poor

They will be mid table because they are the leagues draw specialists and teams that draw most games end up in mid table like us last season before we became brilliant.

Richard Cranium agrees with me that his team is woeful and he is a Mansfield fan on here.

Oh and swear at me one more time mate and you'll wish you hadn't. Ok!

Shake hands??

So we will finish mid table as we draw the most?

Yet we’re 4th and above you with 2 games in hand.

You’re an amusing creature.

There's rumours all over Twitter right now linking HelloGregory with the position of ratchety doom and gloom spouting mega fan at Chesterfield. Anyone care to comment on this?
