When I say you were wrong I was referring to your continued claim that he would be with them next season, when it was clear from day one with the length of the contact that it was a firefighting exercise until the end of the season. This was further backed up by the way he got the job, ie there was bugger all else to appoint to stop the damage Unsworth was doing at the time.
Well you understand the insane nature of Everton FC better than me, I bow down to you.

You're a computer man, 0's & 1's etc. Do you not find it illogical they've sacked someone who is essentially guaranteed to tot up the points required for 7th - their version of winning the league?

Not really. They simply want more than he offered, particularly in terms of playing style. What's more appealing, particularly from a fans perspective? Safety, with a healthy dose of shit, insipid football? Or taking into account the new budget and ambition that comes with a new owner, and trying to improve the club's lot given that they've won the square root of fuck all for 23 years? You can understand why they've chosen the latter, even if it comes with a small element of risk.

There was far more outcry over us sacking FdB after 7 games with 0 goals and 0 points than Everton sacking Allardyce for getting them where they should be. Maddddd

He got them to 8th, but this is where the damage was done. It's also worth pointing out that they were closer to 20th place than 5th in terms of points. Most teams this season were shite.

8th doesn't count them. They best trade off the prize money equal to finishing 20th.

I've heard Favre is now free. That was my shot initially - that would be a good move in fairness.

Apparently Sam Allardyce got £9mill for his 6month stint at Everton. Mindboggling but decent cash any way you look at it ..... for Sam ....not Everton.

Steve Walsh , director of football has also got the boot in favour of Marcel Brands of PSV.

Lead then to 8th is a tad misleading a statement. They finished 9 points ahead of Brighton in 15th so they were hardly a class apart from the league, they brought in a lot of players that SA didnt seem to want and then he spent on Walcott, he completely clashes with their academy style of play and was baffled that Lookman preferred to go on loan than play about 4 games under him.
