Six very poor sides for this level, Fulham probably the best of a bad bunch

Can't see anyone else getting involved.

We can't even make substitutions because our bench options are so poor. The club being sold before January (not gonna happen) or Jabba panicking and chucking 100mil at the problem are the only things that can save us.

Newcastle will beat us on Saturday.

Us, Huddersfield and Cardiff will be the 3 that fall. Only way we'll stay up is if Zaha gets a bad injury for Palace.

I somehow can't see Benitez letting Newcastle get relegated. Still no wins after 10 games which is worrying. Don't think Southampton are that bad.
Haven't seen much of the relegated candidates but from what I saw, Cardiff look to be much poorer than the rest. Maybe they turned a corner the last couple of games but the team looked bereft of quality, the rest have quality, they just don't have the right set-up yet imo.

If I had to pick the 3 to go down it would be Cardiff, Huddersfield and Fulham.

Ourselves, Cardiff, Fulham, Newcastle, Southampton and Burnley all look shocking at the moment. Like really bad.

We need to win our next 2 games, Fulham and West Ham at home. We've won 3 games in 30 and not scored in 9 home games so it's unlikely but we need to turn a corner and fast. If we do, there's no reason we can't finish above 3 of the above teams. But it'll take an incredible turnaround!

Well you won tonight and much deserved. I don't see why you can make a challenge to not go down this season. To me, your squad has quality all over the park maybe the wing-backs are not all that. I remember Lössl from his Guingamp days, the defence looks alright, Billing is an able jack of all trades and the front 3 are decent. Wagner just needs to put more men behind the ball when it matters. You could have dropped 2 points tonight and it was against a very poor Fulham side.

Fulham are my favourites to finish bottom. Mitrovic and Schürrle are not threatening attacking players. Simple as. Of course, that doesn't mean a team has to go down but the midfield looks very conservative and seems to have loads of problems going forward. Again, quite a couple of ex-Ligue 1 players so I know Seri and Zambo are more apt at getting the ball and pressing à la Kanté than doing much with the ball at their feet. Cairney? Not Prem quality for me.

Essentially there are only 2 spots to fill for me. Fulham are already down and out. Need a MASSIVE January transfer window to save themselves.

Well they spent 100 million in the summer !

To get a defence that cannot defend and as you say not really threaten up front .

Don't understand what's gone so wrong at Fulham, they were a far better side in the Championship.

They signed 12 players according to trasnsfermarkt. I don't know how many of those are regulars but 12 new players coming in is a bit much imvho and that. They had some good momentum from their previous season, 20 odd games unbeaten wasn't it? Replacing everyone is a good way to stop that dead.

Few papers are reporting that Hughes is gone if we fail to win on Saturday....

Think the defence is not that bad. They could get a few points every other week if they had some decency upfront but they just don't. The rest of the bottom half does.

Wouldn't be surprised. He's joined the club with David Moyes, Sam Allardyce, Alan Pardew etc. in just circling round bottom-half PL clubs. He's not getting the best out of a squad which is better than the bottom five in the league, or you would hope.

Unfortunately our chairman gave an interview today which makes it seem like Hughes is here for at least the foreseeable regardless of results.

After watching that Cardiff side just now, I'd put my house on them coming down. Basically a mid table championship side.

Not seen much of Fulham but they beat Wolves last year at CC and looked superb. Extremely quick all over and tactically outstanding to completely nullify Wolves.

It's strange to see them completely move away from that.

Very useful point for Manchester United tonight in their bid to avoid the drop.

Anybody else think defeat at Southampton next time out and Woy will be gone at Palace.

Without the win at City they would only be out the drop zone on GD

I have no idea where this is coming from. Palace are a good side capable of beating the very best teams in the country but also liable to defeat against some very poor sides. No way Woy will get sacked.
