Kevin Bond manager till the end of the season. Harry Redknapp's number 2 pretty much everywhere he went. Not exactly inspiring but we can’t get any worse. Hopefully a new face freshens things up

Harry Redknapp has been at the training ground etc and apparently is going to be at all of our remaining games but not actually employed by the club. All seems a bit like a joke tbh.

Some huge games again this weekend (as it will be every weekend coming up):

Wimbledon Vs Accy
Bradford Vs Donny
Fleetwood Vs Southend
Peterborough Vs Gills
Plymouth Vs Charlton
Rochdale Vs Sunderland
Shrewsbury Vs Scunthorpe
Walsall Vs Oxford
Wycombe Vs Pompey
Coventry Vs Rovers (Sunday)

Although every game is make or break, our next 3 games after Coventry are Bradford, Wimbledon & Rochdale :surr:

Annoying not to get a win today. Our away from is better than our home. Need something away at oxford next sat now.

Well we didn't really deserve to win today. It could've gone either way to be honest. We dominated the first 20 mins or so,scored then gave away a soft goal. From that point on we became nervous.I guess it's to be expected. We are still in there battleing.A win today and I would've fancied us to stay up.I guess it's the old cliche of taking one game at a time.

Good point for us on Saturday which I would of taken if was offered before the game but slightly disappointing as leading twice but still we take it and move on to Saturday home game against Wycombe - nothing but three points is acceptable.

I'd prefer a draw..

Well that would be no good for us. I'll compromise and promise to beat Wycombe Saturday followed by Walsall Good Friday and Rochdale the week after, agreed?

Ready for L2 - I think we’ll walk it. :shut:
If you go down, what sort of crowds would you be expecting?

Anyway, great result for Rochdale last night. Accrington & Wycombe are in absolute free fall

Now it gets exciting though, no more ifs & buts with games in hand etc. 5 games to go, game on!

I personally can't see anyone from Bristol Rovers up dropping now due to the form of some of the bottom lot. Dale and Wimbledon have put themselves in a survivable position with their recent form, and Southend and Walsall have decided to twist at this late stage manager-wise, (who knows how that'll go) but Accy and Wycombe in particular look desperate to join Bradford in League Two.

Interesting (maybe) stat for you - no team promoted from League Two has been immediately relegated back down again the following season for the last 6 seasons. The last to do it?

Wycombe.

I hope you're right and wish I shared your confidence! I'd take a point against you on saturday right now if it was offered....

It's a strange feeling not being confident for a home game given our home record in recent years, but this seasons home form has been shocking and the main reason we are in the mix.

Can't see us getting much from Pompey. 1 draw and 3 defeats in our previous visits, already lost at home to them twice this season, Pompey currently approximately as good as Sunderland, who we lost at home to last despite playing reasonably well...

Difficult to say - we’ll have a better idea when the early bird deadline finishes next Sunday.

I reckon we’ll sell at least 10k ST and average 12k ish.....if we’re walking the league, 15k+.

How many have we sold so far? I can't imagine anymore than 8k?

Looking forward to League 2 anyway, lots of new grounds for me.

I'd take Exeter, but Shrewsbury is a ballache to get to.
I have seen you mention this a few times which I find odd because the journey to Shrewsbury Town FC from the M25 is all motorway and then dual carriageway from which you can eventually see the ground and a short walk from a number of available places to park. Certainly no worse than the majority of grounds and less distance than those grounds north of the Midlands if you are travelling from the south.

Still all to play for at bottom. I reckon 51 points needed so 2 wins and a draw for us from 4 games. We need to beat Bristol rovers on Friday and wycombe at home a week sat..

Their Keeper (Yves?) is the worst I've ever seen play in the football league. .

I’ve (thankfully) only ever seen him play once, but he’s basically a personal trainer who we stick on the bench as we can’t afford a proper #2 keeper. Our #1 got dropped for making a string of errors, but I think we’ve learned not to drop him again.

Wycombe.

Yup, in fact we’ve collapsed straight back down the last 2 times we’ve got promoted.

Anyway.

First win since January leaves us around 4 points from safety I’d say, given that our GD is far less gash than most around us.

Nothing can be taken for granted but I don’t mind our run-in against fellow crapsters Dale, Walsall and AFCW (surely Akinfenwa couldn’t send them down?), plus an on-the-beach Fleetwood on final day. If we can’t scrape 4 points out of that lot, we deserve all we get.

Hopefully you'll have the points you need by the time you come to Kingsmeadow.

AFCW (surely Akinfenwa couldn’t send them down?)

I hope not. His antics at the playoff against Plymouth left a sour taste but he did well for us and he's generally remembered fondly.

Huge win for us - only our third in the League in 2019.

Luton and Doncaster coming up next so any points from them will be a bonus.

Last two are Plymouth and Portsmouth (away on final day) so we have quite a horrendous run in!

Incan see accy getting only another one or two points. So our targets are them. Rochdale and scunthorpe. I would say Plymouth as well but they play accy in the run in so who knows. I suspect two wins is enough and 51 points is virtually guaranteed
