If we play those lasher bastards any time soon then I hope it's in the cup, they're not worth another spell in League One.

Indeed, bugger going back there. Our problem is the north Bristol tent dwellers are generally out of the cup competitions before we even join them. Feckin' useless they are.
18 years now since we played them in a meaningful game.

I'm a bit jealous of you lot having spicy derby games.
We haven't played that shower of shit in North Bristol in a league game for eons and it doesn't look likely to happen any time soon, useless bastards.
You can't beat the feeling of a decent derby IMHO.
Old bill taking the spice out of it these days. Villa park will be full, and it will be half decent atmosphere wise, but it lacks that edge nowadays because of WMP.

Well we clearly decided the league is our focus by fielding a team of jesters yesterday and blowing a golden chance at League Cup QF.

On Aitor's head that one, because I will struggle to forgive that and I know a lot of fan's feel the same, unless it manifests to a serious few weeks in the league.

Terrible last night, no respect shown to Burton by our players or manager and we blew what in theory should have been a free pass to the quarters. Bizarre all round and is the kind of result that will cause noise in the squad and start planting some doubt.

Grayson did the same for us away away at Newcastle, I was fucking fuming.

Because we reach quarter finals all the time, obviously....

A fucking Quarter Final! From that stage anything can happen and you've got half an eye on getting to a final with a bit of luck. What a waste!

Any chance we can collect all those posts and comments from various Villa fans the last two seasons and make them into a book? I'm crying reading many of them especially at how they were going to tear this division up and then Terry was going to fire them to glory and all that optimism every late July and most Saturday lunchtimes. I kind of wish I was a Birmingham City fan occasionally, which is a first, just to enjoy it even more.

Oh dear <dries eyes> and I though *we* were comedy gold. Villa. Brilliant. They just don't make football stories like this any more. Except for Blackpool and Orient.

I think we’ve had every reason to be optimistic since being relegated. We’ve spent money, bought good players, but it’s just not clicked. I honestly think we have very little chance of promotion this season. Hopefully Dean Smith can sort us out, but who knows. If we are still down here in 3 years time it wouldn’t surprise me. Sometimes you have to step back and have a good look at things. Too much work to be done this season, IMHO.

Martin O’neill did the same to us in Moscow. Q/F of the UEFA Cup, and he fields a weakened team, because we have Stoke at home the following Saturday. We lose in Moscow, and lose at home to Stoke. That was the beginning of the end for O’Neill.

Didn’t happen in 2013 at Ashton Gate, the police tried to have it under wraps but it didn’t work. It’s different Villa and Birmingham because the majority of your fans will be coming from the same area heading to the game, whereas with a City Rovers game everyone’s coming from all over the city so it’s impossible for the police to have total lockdown.

Psycho did it in his first season, wasn't as far down the line but we had a trip to WHL and he played a load of kids. Lost 3-1, pissed off a lot of the first teamers who had played so well up to that point and we went on an absolutely terrible run.

Davies also had his 'beginning of the end' moment when we got a good pumping at Bramall Lane against League one opposition, ironically led by Nigel Clough, when we were 4th in the league and again on the cusp of an FA Cup QF (the winner would have got Charlton or Wednesday to get to the Semis...). Lost that, lost a few more, got bummed 5-0 at Derby and that was that.

Seem to remember Gary Megson purposely fielding the stiffs and getting Bolton knocked out the UEFA Cup in preparation for their big cup final at our gaff the following Sunday. Naturally we beat them 1-0.

Except the bit about winning games. I must admit...don't tell anyone... I wish we were all up in the PL....Brum, Baggies, Coventry, Kidderminster, Stoke, Shrewsbury, Nuneaton....would love the great competition among us all in the West Mids.
I'd add Villa to that list, but it doesn't seem realistic, tbh.

The Midlands had its fair share in the top league years ago. The more derbies the better for me. I expect nothing more from wolves fans to gloat, I mean how long had it been that Villa were above you? Got to be 40 odd years. I’m sure we will grow some thick skin, and eventually crack this league in the end. Good to see you lot holding your own in the big league.

Looks like distinct possibility of Wolves Brum derbies next season.
Am I right in thinking Birmingham City have scored more in the last month at home than in the previous 72 seasons combined?

We looked quality again after we got going. Just dismantled the in-form team without too much hassle.

Bring on the Villa.

We’ve had two easy wins under Smith. Swansea were and are bang average, and Bolton are poor. Got beat by two inform teams in Norwich and QPR. Will be interesting to see how we get on against a decent Derby team.

Fully expected to lose today, as long as wilder gets the c*** on it for Friday that's fine.

Absolute dice roll today. Just took a chance and that was it. Could easily have gone either way

Yep it sounded a bit of a nothing game, a point would have been a perfectly acceptable result, but it's not the end of the world were still in a very good spot.

More points dropped from winning positions, injuries to most of our forward line, count us out of here for this year.

I've been travelling. How'd it go when Villa came to town?

Believe you’ve spelt trolling wrong but I’ll bite.

Even first half, either team could have gone in 2-0 up or 2-2 if all the good chances were converted.

Second half Villa came out and played us off the park. We didn’t get near them. Having watched them on Sky a couple of times recently I was surprised how well they played tbh.

We will be fine, injuries pliling up though. We’ve lost Forsyth for the season and Bennett for a while.

Bryson, Waghorn and more importantly Mount will be back soon so we should be alright.

That is a shame - suffered a long term injury before didn't he ?

A couple yeah.

Think that's his third ACL in 4 years. Same knee he did last time which is worrying.
Massive shame because he was getting back to his best.

I am bored so I thought I would throw a question out there.

Who is everyone backing to go up now? Decent way through the season so a decent time for another prediction.
