Our cancelled friendly with Bristol Rovers has now become a friendly against Burnley U23s.

At least we'll get to see some of our future loanees.

The fans of some truly classic tinpot clubs like Wrectum* and Hahapools are finding this PSF table business funny, gawd bless 'em.

*12 years and counting

LOL.

They'll be laughing on the other side of their faces when we start including the likes of Chortlepool among our pre-season tinpot tour of the North than usually includes trips to such homes of football as Penrith and Workington.

The imaginative souls at Vale have steered away from a possible friendly against Leeds to confirmation our last pre season game will be Bury at home .

Fuck me drunk what a truly appalling game against a club on it's arse.

No idea what will be achieved by that game apart from a crowd of 700.

On top of Fleetwood at home it must be the worst set of home friendlies in our history

As it stands it will literally be against a load of kids!

It is very odd how seriously Scottish fitba fans treat friendlies. I literally couldn't care less until it's a competitive match, whereas they treat friendlies (especially against English oppo) as more important than their league matches.

I love Scottish football but I find it all a bit weird and tragic.
Reaction to our friendly against Hibs is getting out of hand.

You on a US tour?

Yep, they're off down south to Gainesboro, Jackson County, Tennessee next to play the Trinity Cowboys at the Gainesboro and Martin Arena. The locals cannot wait to show that them there Grimsbury Fishes some proper southern hospitality.

Might the Hibs reaction have something to do with the fact that the Carlisle manager is a Hearts legend?

Boring fact, they are actually the proper Bradford. If they came into the EFL we'd have to be known as Bradford City, not just Bradford. Their name is also in Brackets for some reason.

We all know the quick and easy guide to judging friendlies.

Important and telling if you win and irrelevant and all about fitness if you lose. :bg:

I think he’s purely passing comment on the fact that in the modern era, media in particular, we’re known as Bradford....but in actual fact, we’re not.

It’s subtle, somewhat trivial, but factual.

Bradford City A.F.C.

At Swindon Supermarine today, first open to the public friendly having finished our training camp.

Due a win there after losing and drawing the last 2 years. They're a decent side though, so should be a good test.

Your lot need to be careful. When we played them last week there was nothing friendly about quite a few of their challenges. Players lucky to get out unscathed.

That could get interesting, Cooper's not the sort to let things like that go, if they go in hard reckon there'll be a few flare ups and he'll take the players off, he's done it before.

Even threatened to walk off in a league game at Yeovil last season, took whole team over to the sideline in protest at their goal for a couple of minutes and wouldn't restart. We don't take any shit lol.

We play two friendlies today. We've split our first team in two and put some of our u23 squads with them. We play Guiseley and then a local team called Bottesford.

Essentially I think you will find the reason for that is mark cooper is a mardy wanker.

Only my opinion of course :)

We drew 2-2 in another "behind closed doors" friendly against Nottingham Forest U23s. A few trialists playing again.
