Surely you read the Notts pre season scores whilst you were following our chairman’s twitter account? :dk:

I don’t read any other teams results, and don’t do Twitter. guess derby just assumed we were all that shit and underestimated us. They forgot it’s year of the stag

Says the fan of a side getting hammered in every friendly.....
Aye we got hammered against Liverpool and Everton. 0-0 and 1-1

Anyway it was a joke.

Everton hit the post FIVE times. So should really have been 6-1. Liverpool are shit. You couldn't score against Karius lol.

Anyway it was a joke.

Well obviously. You know FULL WELL that we are strong contenders to finish 16th.

Anyway we're practically unbeaten in pre-season so far, and drawing away at difficult places like Weston-Super-Mare and Swindon Supermarine is no disgrace. Both are super sides.

You quoted our chairman’s tweets last season a fair bit, did you get those from stagsnet or the Notts Co Mad messagboard, which I know you like to view from time to time?

Although I’ve already bet on Lincoln to win the league, I’m all in on the ‘Year of the Stag’ , sounds like fun

Come back to me when you’ve beaten Rhyl 3-1 away.

Not playing them unfortunately, but it is only 8 days until El Nailsico.

No such thing as a "friendly" when that game is concerned. If we can handle the pressure of a MASSIVE derby like that one, we'll be ready for anything league 2 has to offer

I challenge someone to come up with a better name than "Swindon Supermarine" though, what a name.

Leave them alone - I used to play for them in the early 80's (before they were Swindon Supermarine).

Drew 2-2 at Nuneaton in one of the more bizarre friendlies we've played in...

The background is our chairman has just purchased Nuneaton's ground to help them out...

Threw a friendly in despite us having one on Tuesday and having the youths in Devon.

Nuneaton took the lead with Dior Angus (A Vale player) who may go on loan to Nuneaton scoring for them!

We had a few trialists but rumours are some of the Nuneaton trialists are there for us to look at including Andoh who played for them in the end and scored a late equaliser.

Aside from that we scored a wonder goal through Dodds and no one knows who any of our trialists were!

It’s a decent shout fish, but in my eyes Bolivian outfit ‘The Strongest’ is the best and without doubt bravest and most arrogant team name. I certainly approve.

As you would expect. I’ve been to both of those countries but sadly never saw either play. More of an Alianza Lima fan myself

We beat Evesham United 2-0 tonight, goals from Brian Graham and Kalvin Lumbombo Kalala (his 2nd in 3 games).

Mo Eisa didn't play any part and we expect him to be gone by the weekend, if not then very early next week,

Beat Weymouth 2-0 tonight. Norwich loanee Abrahams scored his first for us and Matt Jay got his third goal in three. Another clean sheet too which is always nice but we really need some sterner tests of our defence and our next friendly is away at Bristol Rovers, who will be tough oppo.

One interesting side note is that Josh McQuoid played for Weymouth tonight. It wasn’t long ago that he was really highly rated and went to Millwall and now he’s trying to get a new club at that level.

Crawley are playing another behind closed doors friendly. This time against Brighton. It kicked off at 11am.

We are giving a run out to Andy Driver. Who has been playing in Holland and last season helped De Graafschap get promoted to the top division.

The Southern League me has problems with signing players like this. Why are they at Crawley? What's wrong with them? How many legs have they got?

Andy Driver is a blast from the past. When I lived in Edinburgh I used to go and watch Hearts and it was clear that Driver was a very decent winger.

Hadn't been following his career but based on what I have seen, he would be immense at this level, although it sounds like his career has gone backwards somewhat.

Why did you play extra time against Rotherham?
