Pearson, Robinson, Barkhuizen and Clarke should all be back.

Bit of a selection head ache for Neil which is a rarity this season.

Same team that beat Wigan for me, think it had the right blend, good bench with Maguire, Gallagher, Moult & Barker.

Fisher, Clarke, Storey, Hughes
Pearson, Johnson
Barkhuizen, Browne, Robinson

We’re really beginning to struggle. Haven’t picked up a good result in a while, and it’s clearly getting to some of the team.

Still feel we’ve deserved more points than we’ve picked up, from quite a few games, but bad habits are settling in which isn’t good.

Time to give Watkins a rest as he’s been pretty bad of late. No Mepham so I imagine Jeanvier will come in.

Bentley
Dalsgaard Konsa Jeanvier Barbet
Mokotjo McEachran Sawyers
Benrahma Maupay Canos
2-0 loss, we’ll waste a bunch of chances, and more questions will start to be asked.

What an absolutely bizarre game. Should probably have been 2-0 down after 5 mins and then all of a sudden we were 3-0 up

Never felt confident at any point, Brentford are so good to watch going forward. Two shambolic defences.

Both defences shite but we managed to have more cutting edge. Nmecha and Pearson brilliant, Robinson always a threat and solid games from DJ, Browne & Barkhuizen.

Just don't understand why we don't deal with set pieces any more, so much unnecessary panic.

4 unbeaten now, scored 4 in consecutive home games, need to make the most of playing Rotherham next.

Yeah Huntington was a bombscare tonight. Fisher was all over the shop too. Davies and Hughes had good games though.

Robinson and Nmecha different class.

We were a joy to watch for long spells tonight. It's just the defence that lets us down. Brentford are very similar to us in that regard.

Rather this than 0-0s and two shots on goal under Grayson though.

It’s just all a bit Darren Ferguson for me, we’ll just score more than you. Not a good recipe for a successful season but very entertaining to watch.

Ferguson was trying it with Danny Mayor, Barry Nicholson and Paul Parry though.

I don't think we're actually setting up to encourage a high scoring game, I just think most of our defenders are shot. Two soft goals from set pieces and a 30yrd screamer last night, Brentford didn't actually carve us open much last night.

Our defence has forced us to go out and try and grab as many goals as we can due to individual errors.

Not sure about that, thought they cut us open plenty of times but their final ball was poor.

That's what I mean, some nice moves but in terms of their strikers receiving the ball in a dangerous position, I don't think it happened very often. I wasn't too impressed by them to be honest.

We were awful last night. It's a game of fine margins, and one or two lucky breaks going against us really sees us drop our head. First goal was a bit fortune - albeit a very clever finish - in that the ricochet fell kindly for PNE, despite us having an encouraging opening few minutes.

We looked immediately deflated and then gave you lot far too much room for the second, which was a brilliant team goal. Third again was a slice of luck with the deflection, but it's that defeatist attitude we have when we go behind that sees us makes these mistakes. WTF was Bentley doing picking up a back pass.

A great goal for our first, and then I think the game would have changed if these two opportunities we had immediately after kick-off had have gone our way. They didn't and we ultimately scored a flukey second through a massive deflection. After us finding more of a foothold in the second half at 3-2 down, our defending let us down again and it was another clever finish that saw us go 4-2 down. Although it actually looks like he was marginally offside, it's no excuse given how terrible our defending was in the lead up to the goal.

Getting our third was the "hope that kills you" situation, and for the final 10 minutes we then decided to lump it up to our 5'7" forwards... which was wildly moronic. PNE saw the game out quite comfortably after that. Loads of timewasting from your lot - very similar to our home game last season - probably the worst in the division for it (how early you start it, how much you take the piss) but I've no real complaint about it as it's part of football and we ultimately got plenty of injury time that should have seen us create more. Plus, after the rubbish start you lot had, throwing away a three goal lead would have been a massive blow to you, so disrupting the game as much as possible is a sensible approach.

No complaints about the score - although surprised we managed 3 goals - and PNE looked worthy winners. Wanted it more, first to every ball, intelligent play up front, etc. Both defences were poor, how you looked like you were going to score every time you came forward, whereas we looked lost in the final third and squeaked two goals (Canos' goal was the pick of the seven). Good luck until we next play each other :)

Agree with that summary 100%.

Our gamesmanship is unbelievable sometimes, absolutely necessary last night though with our defensive record this season.
