Joe Hart's fall from grace complete. Left out of the WC squad. Only right of course, he was never particularly good and has been complete shit for at least a couple of years.

In addition, have you ever taken a worse squad to a World Cup? I mean aside from Kane there’s like nothing there to be excited about.

Wouldn't make a difference if we did with Southgate as manager. But yes, its a shit squad with little in the way of excitement. We will do nothing and as usual the players will join the general population by watching the business end of the tournament on TV.

So what's the difference between him n corner taking, no goal scoring, not leading us very far against Iceland Harry Kane then?

I'd never accuse Beelo of that. He's no Salts. However the second top scorer with 18 to Agueros 21 goals and 2nd most assists with 17 to KDB's 18, shows he's more than just a decent player in a great team. He's one of the best players in that side.

You should play a 0-1-0 with Henderson in the middle.

- Saltire, probably.

Don't want any Liverpool players anywhere near the England squad tbh. All they do is get long-term injuries there; England won't go far in the World Cup, so their time would be better spent resting, and then meeting up with Jurgen and co to push on for next season. It would be a more productive use of their time. At least Holland haven't qualified so VVD and Gini will be putting their feet up.

And Robertson ;)
That's true, the world's best left-back can come home to bonnie Scotland, watch and laugh at England throughout the tournament, have a few fish suppers and cans of Tennent's, get a well earned rest, and enjoy the summer. :D

Hehe good point, it was about 11 degrees yesterday, probably the best day of the year up here, and I saw this fat thing wear a really tight top, with a bra that was way too small for her; so I got a real eyeful of sideboob as she went into the bakers for her doughnuts. We all take what we can get up here!

Wouldn't mind being bullied by a famous manager for 150k per week!
Money ain't everything! Look at Ronaldo, look at what it can do to people - is he happy really despite earning €190 mill last year?

His numbers are very impressive this season indeed, but he's playing in a system with basically five forwards (of which he's one) where he'll never get the attention he'll get for England, and rightly so because he still squanders a lot of opportunities. If you want any of the City front five through on goal it's Sterling, whatever the numbers say.

Now I don't ever watch England so I can't comment on how Kane has performed, but bar the blueberry nations, when has Sterling?

I will concede that his numbers certainly indicate that I underrate him, but I just find him largely underwhelming whenever there is pressure put on his shoulders. Which, I believe, is why he was benched at Anfield in the CL and was absolutely dogshit in the second leg.

England just have to be patient. These boys will win everything - I've no doubts about that whatsoever - EG's commitment to the cause will be rewarded.

That manager that Bilo has a hardon for (Graham Potter) might be heading to Swansea.

Which has nothing to do with the Premier league.

Are things happening in the background at Chelsea?
Chelsea have announced that their new stadium project has been put on hold due to the "current unfavourable investment climate".

A club statement released on Thursday afternoon read: "Chelsea Football Club announces today that it has put its new stadium project on hold. No further pre-construction design and planning work will occur.

"The club does not have a time frame set for reconsideration of its decision.

"The decision was made due to the current unfavourable investment climate."

Conjecture of course but, as I asked in the Conte thread, what effect is Abramovich's current visa issues going to have on what already appears to be a waning interest in the club? I think we may have just had the answer.
