Radcliffe F.C. have appointed former FC United manager and head of football Karl Marginson as the club's new head of football operations.

Karl has an extensive experience of non-league football as a player and manager. He was the first manager of FC United of Manchester and guided them from the North West Counties to the National League North with four promotions.

Whats happened to Workington this season?

Not sure they've still got the old brigade of Scott Allison and Conor Tinnion and also Jason Walker producing the goods up front. Other than that things are pretty dismal.

Just as well they've got 4 games in hand over the bottom club North Ferriby United, I somehow don't think they are recruiting player's much this season, hence the position they are in with just two wins so far from fifteen game's.

Not sure, but sometimes i think workington can depend on the help of Carlisle/Barrow cast-offs and how many cheap Scottish players are about maybe the quality isn't about currently.

although it is deceiving as i think they have 3-4 games in hand.

Whitby Town striker Junior Mondal will join Football League Two side Forest Green Rovers on January 1 for an undisclosed fee.

Mondal, 21, has scored eight goals in 23 appearances for Whitby Town this campaign and has now played his last game for the club.

Good bit of business for Whitby Town.

Very very unlucky defeat for Staly, a 92nd minute cross got pushed into the net in the strong winds...........typical bad luck in a very very bad run currently. 1 win in the last 10 games.

they gave their manager a new contract which surprised me as i personally do not think he's doing very well........changes far far far too many players, must have gone through 50 plus this year and never seem to have any sort've set plan. I can accept after a summer with a big wage drop things to be tough, plus can accept you bring in a load of players then release some and bring more in to try and gradually improve, but you should have a set tactic, style and be attempting to just improve it.

thankfully the decent start should keep relegation out of the issue.

They put the record straight today with a 1-0 win at Grantham. I very much doubt Staly will drop out of this division they are far too good, all about getting to grips with this new set up in this tough league. In which they are doing fine just 8 points off South Shields & Gainsborough (in joint 5th).

Definitely for next season i would imagine they'll have a clear out in the summer, and then maybe look into a play-off challenge with fresh legs and new blood from the management?

Good to see Nantwich flying at the top, albeit a few teams have a few games in hand, Farsley in particular look like they will probably overhaul them. But they’ve got a decent little team this year, lots of former Crewe lads as usual, but sounds like they are playing some really good stuff. Certainly going to try to get to a few games.

Belting crowd and a great game between Buxton and Matlock it sounded like. Both going fairly well in a tough league too

Have been to a few as a good mate follows them so go along when he does and Mansfield away somewhere daft. Came from behind the other week to beat Hyde and a good result on Boxing Day also.

As you say, farsley have games in hand but especially at that level it’s hard to make the most of them

Farsley Celtic closed the gap on Nantwich Town at the top the table with one of their games in hand with a 3-2 win at Witton Albion (with a late goal from Nathan Cartman).

With Scarborough's form currently the same as North Ferriby's 3 points from their last 5 game's going into the New Year. I'm inclined to think this league is beginning to look more and more a battle between Warrington Town (15 points from 5 Game's), Farsley Celtic (15 points from 5 Game's), Nantwich Town (13 points from 5 game's) and South Shields (11 points from 5 game's).

Hednesford Town have appointed Nicky Eaden as the club's new first team manager. Eaden, 45, will be assisted by Gary Hayward.

Hopefully we send Connor Simpson back to Hyde now we've got bodies back, unless someone higher up the pyramid is interested.

Michael Howard seems to have scored a decent amount for Hednesford as well.
