Did they really choose the live match on the basis that clubs with similar names are going to be rivals?

If we play our best defensive options and formation I’d expect we’d frustrate Wrexham, not sure we’ve got enough to nick a win but we should be able to keep them quiet for the most part.
The problem is, we’ve only played the best defensive options and formation because injury forced the managers hand, so I have no idea if he’ll stick to it.
Hopeful outlook, he’s learned from the previous 5 games and we get a draw.
More than possible outlook, he mixes it up again and we get hammered.

Why on earth is Maidenhead vs Maidstone on telly, are they trying to turn people away from watching national league football? Surely Chesterfield vs Barnet or Ebbsfleet vs Aldershot, or pretty much any other fixture would be preferable?

Anyway, we're away at the Heed, who we smashed 1 3 away from home in the final league match of last season. We're still unbeaten, but are already starting to pick up niggling injuries to key positions and our performances haven't been that convincing so far. Don't know much about Gateshead but I expected them to struggle this season so I'm a bit surprised to see them up in 5th and having already beaten $alford. With an out of form Dover at home on the Monday I'll take a draw all day long to continue our unbeaten spell.

Bit concerned that Wrexham only get to play crap teams, they've just had boring wood, maidenhead and Eastleigh, and they've got Bromley, Solihull, out of sorts Aldershot and Halifax up next...they'll be up by Christmas at this rate...

Could have sworn we took 6 points off you last season, with an aggregate score of 7-1?!

Tough away game at Sutton which I don’t think we’ll win but at 5/2 I’m all over that. Serious value in those odds

Home to Hartlepool. A team who have been quite kind in giving out points to the opposition this season.

So inevitably, we'll lose...again

I'm so looking forward to us being mauled mercilessly by a Martin Allen team with a Muggles throw-in assisted goal to top it all off.

If Muggleton scores against us then I don’t think there’s any point in living any longer.

Boring wood away for us. Think we’ll nick it 0-1 due to their poor attack, our good defence and a fairly clinical attack this year. They’ll still be well drilled defensively I imagine but they don’t have anything going forwards anymore so I expect us to at least get a point. 3 points I would be ecstatic with. Hope Bromley nick it at fellow brotherhood member Wrexham so we can have our time at the top of the league which will inevitably last 1 game until we drop into a relegation battle because that is the Halifax way.

Can't say we are playing that well, I will take a draw.

We are not your brother, we have 3 brothers in this league and 3 below, as mentioned. Unless you’re the adopted ginger brother everyone thinks is a bit weird and a fantasist.

So are you still expecting to be decent this season and push into top half again, or going to be battling at the wrong end?

I know you've lost Josh Rees to Gillingham - many other big players?

I think we'll be getting a bigger than usual crowd given our start, which normally means we'll fall to pieces and lose...

I expect us to win and Muggleton and Nelson to get a brace each.

B2TF made the rules which state we are indeed both brotherhood members therefore your statement is invalid by default. Your refusal to acknowledge how MASSIVE we are puts you in serious risk of damaging your reputation within the brotherhood community. I urge you to take your comments back immediately.

We concede daft goals still so your always gonna be in with a decent chance against us

I think it’ll be a certainty that Adeloye will score against us, it’s just always the way.

4 assists and a clean sheet for Martin Allen making a guest appearance in net
All too scarily believable!
The contrast in the level of intent and aggression which our side has displayed in John Still's third spell with us compared to Martin Allen's 8 match run with us last season is so striking. The issues that beset our squad this season are manifold. I really don't know where to start...

Barrow v Braintree - we have won both our home games and scored 3 goals each time - i'm expecting an early (jack Hindle*) goal and then Braintree to struggle to keep the score down... any team that can concede 4 against H & W at home should struggle against us... hopefully.

* 10-1 on bet 365 - lump on

Long and expensive trip to Gateshead for me. We took 425 there back in April, we'll be lucky to make a quarter of that Saturday, with it being a bank holiday weekend and around 120 quid on the train. I managed to get it for 84 in a group saver but even so............

I see Gatesheads team this year is built up of local North East boys and Mike Williamson, Watson is working a miracle there right now.

I hope we can be but there is a few holes in the team at the moment. Unless we sort those out we could be in for a mediocre year.
We lost Louis Dennis as well, he went to Pompey.
Two new CB’s playing in a back 3 with Roger Johnson has improved us defensively but we’ve only played that combination and formation once!
Kept a clean sheet and didn’t really look like conceding to Gateshead.
Goddard came in but we need to add a striker with goals. We released both LB’s without replacement, Frankie Raymond played LWB on the weekend and looked decent but it’s plugging holes.

Hopeful as the base of a squad is there but we need a couple more in.

Having absolutely wiped the floor with the pathetic Chesterfield in the last game of the season I did not envisage our team being ripped apart and a manager assembling some awful players.... Thanks Dagenham!

I really hope we get stuffed

Pretty sure every team has to be shown live at least once....so they most likely just wanna get us & Maidenhead out the way early.

Not looking forward to this weekend. I can't see Barnet getting anything other than a resounding defeat at Chesterfield. If Still knew would he was doing he'd play the quick pacy young attackers to take advantage of Nelson and maybe Muggleton, but no doubt Nelse will have Byron Harrison in his pocket all game.

I'll be at Maidenhead v Maidstone which is likely to be a stinker. I am not optimistic about Maidenhead avoiding the drop this year with Devonshire's tactics so far this season emulating Still's, although at least Maidenhead have the valid excuse of no money and as always the squad is tight-knit and will graft to the end. Maidenhead's biggest problem right now is that every attack goes through Ryan Bird, who despite being built like a target man wins absolutely nothing. No doubt Still will sign him up soon if anything happens to Harrison.

We were so far ahead of them in that game, they were dire. It's unbelievable how quickly things have turned.

Certainly the case on Saturday, for a big lump he was pretty poor at holding up the ball, spent most of his time on the pitch chasing shadows, Maidenhead looked much better when they dragged him off.

Really sad given that he's probably the highest paid player in the squad and his signing was regarded as something of a coup a couple of months back.
