Retro Day at Brisbane Road this weekend, fans of both clubs encouraged to wear retro shirts of The O's and Bees.

We should play in the kits we did back in April 1996 when we drew 3-3 at Brisbane Road.

As for the game, we have been playing well - But we haven't been taking our chances quickly enough, last week despite dominating the game against Halifax for long spells we had to rely on a last gasp James Alabi goal to rescue us. JE has another selection headache with alot of players in a bit of form right now, fit and ready to go.

Expect John Stills Barnet to be very similar to his Dagenham side from last season.

We have to lose at some point as well.

Hope so, considering the Heathway chavs didn’t score against us in 4 games.

Unfortunately I will be at a game for the first time this season, so a loss is inevitable.

I’m scared. Koroma and Bonne upfront are dangerous. Very big game for us as our recent run of form has been against teams that won’t be troubling the top half of the table any time soon. Orient will be the sternest rest of the season so far and definitely the hardest we’ve had in a good few matches.

Always enjoy a visit to Orient though, nice little ground (I obviously don’t use little as a comparison to anything here). We’ve got a number of players out injured but we’ve not heard anything all week, so I wonder if one of them will be back in the team. Still was also out looking for a loanee but we’ve not heard anything too.

We're going to lose and our plummet to Conference South and beyond will be all but confirmed :sur:

STILL OUT!

That 3-3 game back in 1996 was a sickener.

Two awful mistakes from Maik Taylor cost us a play off spot, and possibly promotion. Ray Clemence had assembled a bloody good side and we had been on a fantastic run over the second half of that season. Devine and Hodges were absolutely different gravy at that time.

How different things might have been...

A 215-mile trip to Maidenhead for me. Or so it would be, but it's one mile off my journey to watch Leyton Orient vs. Barnet so I'll be going to that instead.

Really looking forward to tomorrow's game, gonna be a close one, both teams in decent form, but I can't see past the O's for this one

2-1 Orient.

Hartlepool are playing tomorrow too.

As a Hartlepool fan are you looking forward to your game the same amount or less than Leyton Orient v Barnet?

Even when the mighty vision come to town, the game has no relevance when Orient take on Barnet.

Meanwhile, in anticipation of tomorrow’s humongous match up. On Bangladeshi state TV, locals are gathering around the one meagre tele in the village watching the second of a hard hitting three part tv series, ‘from the blade of the dagger to the hive, how John Still kept tiki taka alive’. It’s a real cracker.

It appears the Hartlepool members didn't get the inductory memo last season which would have informed them that, for good or ill, I make the jokes around here. :box:

After our meeting/Q&A last night with the new manager I'm actually feeling a lot more positive about tomorrow.

We will now only lose 2-0 instead of the 4-0 I was predicting the other day.

We surely can’t do any worse than we did last time we went to Fylde can we?
I’m going 2-0 defeat.

Two very bad mistakes that day by Taylor, of course he went on to have a good career and was a decent keeper overall but he gifted us two goals - The first one when he booted his clearance straight at Dave Hanson and it went in was hilarious!

You butchered us 3-0 at your place in December. Hodges and Devine were indeed a damn good strikeforce.

Fylde away - anything better than another thrashing will be a bonus

I’m going 2-0 defeat.

Is it bad that I would probably take that now given Fylde's attack and our defence?

Odd lineup for us today. Would fancy Ebbsfleet to do us.
