We're still to beat Fylde in our wretched time here in which we have also been Danny Rowe'd numerous times, think with a similar side to Saturday we have a decent chance of getting something, we need to take our chances in games when we're the team on top though, we've been far to ineffective in the opposition box so far, missing a clinical touch in front of goal then being easily hit on the counter.

2-1 either way.

Yeah, decided I don't really like all these 2 games a week. Can we postpone Tuesday Harrogate? I'm sure Stead would be fine with it.

Very interesting, our game. It may give us a better idea of where ourselves and Halifax are early in the season. No doubt we will attack them early on, looking to kill the game beyond reasonable doubt so a thrashing could be on the cards. We appear to be very suspect at the back in the closing stages so I'm expecting Halifax will try to keep it tight until then, knowing they can run away with a 1 goal win at the end.

My genuine prediction? A nervy 3-2 win, with Halifax's 2 coming after 80 minutes.

We haven't performed yet tbh chief, as with all teams at this stage players need to gel in and our manager doesnt know his strongest 11 or formation yet. We've always played with 1 striker but for some reason the first 2 games of our season he's gone with 2. Not sure it works. Gutted because I cant make tomorrow. My prediction 1-1

Think he'll go with the same team but Muir coming in for Kabamba who picked up a knock. Good chance for Nico Muir this, he's better with the ball to his feet which is how we try to play. Decent performance and result here against a good side will restore a lot of confidence.

Short away trip for Manchester based Barrow tomorrow night under the EP lights.

Happy enough with the 2 points on the road at Notts County and Yeovil having been a goal down in both. Positives are we're creating plenty of chances in every game so far, but have thus far not really found our shooting boots. That needs to change quickly!

After no wins in the opening 3 games we could sure do with a win but i think a draw is a much more likely result.

Tomorrow’s game will give a pretty clear indication as to whether we’re actually any good this season or if we have just taken advantage of the two relegated team’s inability to put together a squad until the final week of pre-season.

I'm going for a draw too. Saturday was a big confidence boost but defence still seems vulnerable - if you're creating a lot of chances then one will come off.

We also usually follow a good win with a sloppy defeat though...

We've not kept a clean sheet so far, Woking have kept two and only conceded one goal. They've won two, we've won zero. Expecting a 1-1 draw or something along those lines. Can't see us winning until Denton/Spyrou/Gerrard are back.

I think if we don't win tomorrow the panic button everyone is desperate to hit will be getting slammed. I'll be honest when looking at the fixtures I had us down to win 3 of our first 5. Not what I was expecting though

We never beat Boreham Wood at home. I don't fancy our chances much tomorrow with the general frustrations around amongst the home fans regarding the manager.

Never thought we'd miss Denton so much. Sheridan still hasn't addressed the midfield so Denton is the only option for moving the ball up the pitch and having it stick.

Just the 936 miles for us to travel in the next 5 days, Ebbsfleet tomorrow and Barrow on Saturday.

Our tiny squad is creaking already although it's interesting our manager has made a total of one substitution in the first three games. We're going to have to throw the youngsters in at some point soon. I'd been happy with a draw tomorrow night.

Never seems to matter if Barnet are any good or not, they seem to have an inexplicable knack of winning this League. :sna:

Three games in and I’m already bored at the thought of attending a match, don’t see us getting anything if Boreham score at least two. Will Taylor drop Quigley and Start Grant.....of course he won’t.

Last time we played Maidenhead at home we were officially the worst ever Torquay side (and there's plenty of competition for that honour!) and still we trounced them 4-0. It helped that they turned up so late that their players pretty much came straight off the coach onto the pitch.

Here's hoping they repeat the trick tomorrow.

We are a more professional outfit now than we were then, although probably not with a better squad.

Hey Wrexham fans- parking tonight, I gather we can park in the university car park next to the ground: do we pay at a machine or will there be someone taking the money at the gates?

V Sutton - I'm expecting us to lose tonight (1-2), or if we get lucky we might snatch a late draw. Struggling to score goals already & we don't appear to have any different options. 3 strikers all in their 30's.

Jerry, how good is jamie reid? Looks a very good player from the highlights and he's currently 14/1 to be scorer

He was extremely highly rated when he was coming through at Exeter, they thought he was a better prospect than Ollie Watkins. Unfortunately they sent him on loan to us when we were being managed by a succession of dreadful managers who all played him out of position as a winger. This knocked his confidence and he went backwards to the point where they decided to let us have him permanently (maybe this was our masterplan all along?).

He was still struggling until Johnson came in and told him he would be the main man up front for us. You could instantly see his confidence come back and he's a vastly better player now than he showed in this division before.

Not lightning fast but pretty quick and deceptively strong, he will run all day (obviously loves playing for his hometown club - was a season ticket holder as a kid) and his finishing is much improved.

Still can't take a decent penalty though!
