Solihull tonight. They’ve bullied us off the park last 2 seasons at the Vic.

I suggest the best approach for a mediocre side is to go for boom or bust. That is to say, go for the win, don't worry too much about leaving the back door open. If you can win just half a dozen more than you lose you should be good for a play off spot. :ds:

Unless it purchases a league place like so many before

Doesn't tend to last though, Rushden, Kidderminster, Boston all spent to get up but couldn't sustain it from revenues. Matter of time before FGR and Fleetwood sink back down. Crawley and Stevenage are big enough towns to last but the crowds aren't great.

the game on the 16th between you and us should be an entertaining passing game then given this quote from the Dagenham forum after we won there last week;-

(At) "Times they were passing the ball around like a 70's Brazilian national outfit"
I can’t believe you’ve been cheating on Red Passion with another forum.

Make that 3.

I’ve listened to 40 minutes of play acting and time wasting since they scored.

We got a typical Solihulling tonight, they score and sit back, roll around, waste time, kick fuck out of us, 4 booked in the second half, animals, imagine paying money to watch that every week.

Didn’t even need to be there to know what you’ve all just watched. Last 3 seasons against them. Copy paste.

Unlucky lads, Pools cant outperform a non league team and seem to now have a inferiority complex about Solihull, and BTF talks his usual shite, keep renting that cowpatch with barely any more fans than us, pretending you used to be something and shouting your mouth off, soon enough you will be back where you usually reside (bottom 8).
As for us, 3 points off top, a rare away win, and, lets be frank, the tinpot bellyache combover boys are starting to worry that we may upset the apple cart again and challenge. Good times?
Maybe ... Lets see what the FA Cup may bring.

You’re right we certainly can’t outperform the theatrics and general thuggery that Solihull have down to a tee, you are anti football, I’d be embarrassed if Pools performed like that.

mate its as well you can be proud of your wonderful team. Keep playing that samba football.
In our first couple of seasons we were regularly beaten well toward the closing minutes. Teams bullied us, out professionally performed us, scored late breaks and often just outplayed us as well. I saw it, it was fair enough. Frustrating but that is football.
There are very few teams who didnt achieve this against us but far less that I watched and said, fair play they are a very good all around team. Off the top of my head, Tranmere and Fylde, but most teams huff and puff with little real all around team quality. The table doesn't lie, so in conclusion, take off those rose tints buy some multi focals and be embarrassed.

Oh look, it's one of those life-long-fan-since-the-money-went-ins going all big-time-Charlie on us. Aww, it's cute when they do that, innit. :fl:

Been quiet the last few weeks while Solihull have been shit, eh?
Not sure anyone has an inferiority complex toward a team that plays dreadful football and spunks loads on average players. Solihull may well get promoted at the end of the season, but they won't get a lot of admiration for it. You may call it jealousy, but most of us have seen our own teams playing a similar way to know how tediously boring it is.

As an outsider looking in I would like to give my unbiased view on Joseph Smith that he is an absolute ball bag.

You call yourself an 'outsider' I would side heavily more towards 'bit of a d!ck' instead. I've got a feeling Mr Smith won't care.

Of course you are posting at 4:18am, another night shift?

Keep rubbing Tippex around your gums, thank fuck I only have to witness Solihull once a season, imagine, wilfully handing over money to watch THAT every other Saturday :dis:

Our 0-0 against Solihull was the worst football match in human history . We should have both been docked points not given one.

Hartlepool in contrast looked like a team who should challenge last Saturday.

Plucky little Solihull, with their multi millionaire owners.

The sooner they kick their way out of the is league the better. Let Chris FGR deal with Joseph Smith.

I don't think Solihull were as brutal as in the past, but one of them should have been sent off for his assault on Donaldson.
Play acting, time wasting aside, they do have some decent players.
They got some great crosses in,while ours were crag, hit the post twice & in general were better than us.

It's a shame they don't any of their money on their stadium and infrastructure. The worst i've been to in a long time.

Our failings were there to see last night, we don’t finish enough chances, Kabamba misses more than he scores, Holohan had s rare poor game, Williams cameo was impressive I thought like

Is that cheat Osbourne still playing for them?

Our captain Pearson reckons he’s the best player in the division.

Yeah,in his short on the pitch,he looked a cut above anyone else.
Hopefully if he can stay injury free,we'll have some player on our hands.

You don't even need to be there to know he would've dived every time he was looking like being dispossessed and then would've proceeded to applaud the opposition supporters when being substituted.

Solihull are just the latest vanity project on the block who may buy promotion. The real issue is most of these teams don't come back down due to league clubs not wanting anymore than 2 up 2 down. As Notts County fans know it takes on disaster season to maybe spend 10 here because only 2 up is brutal

We managed to do both diasasterous and laughably comical last season. But tbh we've knocked on the relegation door to Non League#abyss a few times in recent times so a relegation was not a total shock but the timing was.

Big problem you have is you need to go up this season. Once the rot sets in you'll become Wtexham

And the bankrolled hobby club production line will never stop. All the time there are people willing to bend over and have their clubs become a plaything then its going to be even harder for ex league clubs to go back up
