Who ever is in charge on Saturday they have one hell of a job on their hands.

Notts are a side with zero confidence individually and as a team and we are up against an in form Morecambe.
If Chettle is still in charge (by all accounts the new man will be announced Thursday) God help us, when we went 2 down he had no idea what to do and there isn't one player on the pitch that can help him.

Was debating setting up a match thread but rather than stunk fans clogging up not only theirs and the general match thread here's a place they will probably spend more time on. Oh the joys and we play them in a couple of weeks. Hopefully someone will turn the Internet off by then.

I think you mean ‘fan’ and you have one of your own that’s a serial offender too don’t ya?

Let’s be fair about it, we have a poster on each side that are dedicated WUMs.

Exactly, not another peep from me on here.

Ps, go Morecambe!

Superb match thread title and so true haha.

You surely can’t compare anyone to your Spanish fossil his posts are embarrassing. No wonder the rest of you appear to actively disown him.

Understandably half a dozen or so Stags fans are currently commenting on all things Notts, whether serious or as a wind up. But he must of created some sort of record this past week. I’ve never seen anything like it

No doubt VM is a WUM and from what I’ve read he’s good at it too. But he’s not alone there are plenty of WUM in the L2 forum at all clubs including 3 on this thread already haha

Hopefully this match thread will be purely about the Notts vs Morecambe game but I seriously doubt it will.

We need a reaction after Tuesday's disgrace, I wouldn't be surprised if Jim didn't make any changes from the side that started at Halifax though.

We don't score or even shoot enough so it will be a low scoring game on our side.

Shame this game isn’t coming next weekend for the new manager. After the ‘horror show’ against Cheltenham I’m expecting it’s too little too late and another defeat against very winnable opposition. You can’t turn that sort of dire confidence lacking performance around quickly

Yeah, a Friday appointment means he sits in the stand and we should get a little more effort (bare minimum) out of this lot but nothing can worked on until the week after’s game.

More optimistic for this than others, for starters we should have Stead, Hemmings, Tootle and Hewitt back. The first two in particular should make a difference, and the last one too, if he’s on his game.

So pretty much as you were for Notts, Ardley isn't back from his Jollies till Wednesday so Chettle in for this and Carlise. Then he has a week to prepare for the Stinks FC match.

I don’t like Saturday afternoons anymore, must be depressing for any travelling fan. With our away record, form this season overall and the drop from 5th to 23rd our away allocation should be single figures

We lack the core fundamentals of a pub side; shape and consistency - never mind a league side.

We are too small, not physical enough and lack a style from all the changes. I'll be amazed of we get more than ten points in the next ten games

Kind of manager that can keep us in the league of he said able to bring in someone who resembles a competent midfielder.

I wanted Ardley over Kewell so got there in the end. It’s just going to take some time.

Still think we should have stood by Nolan fwiw

Well, the defence looks better on paper and Hewitt and Milsom together in midfield is about the best we can do.
Still picking that waste of space Nathan Thomas though.
Chairman has just confirmed that we're blowing £3million this season on the 38 man playing budget.
Mental.

I’ve been out and about in the metropolis all day today so not heard a squeak about the game but an 88th equaliser is a real kick in the gut when you are in the drop zone. Two points lost and bad for morale going into the next game.

Saying all that it’s not a surprise expected defeat and we like to concede late. As well as early most games lol

Fuck me Chettle is an absolute tit, we looked comfortable enough but Dennis, Patching and Thomas were clearly absolutely shagged after about 70 minutes so we couldn’t get out at all and he just refused to take any of them off, even when Thomas and Patching started going down injured. Goal ended up being pretty inevitable.

We’ve now dropped 18 points from winning positions, which backs up my belief that this is a decent team being managed by fucking idiots. Hopefully Ardley can change that.

We were awful for 80, then came to life abit when Oswell came on in the last 10. Really bad game to watch in general, you could see why both teams are where they are.

We could have stolen it at the end had the ref given us the blatant pen. He had a stinker all game so shouldn't be surprised really.

Pet hate of mine is managers who are scared to make changes when winning. I understand you don’t want to disrupt things , they get scared, but when someone is shattered or injured or even momentum is against you. You’ve got to change things.

Did we deserve to win though over the 95 mins?

Yup, looked a penalty even from our end. His highlight was definitely overruling his linesman to give a goal kick after your keeper made a superb save, though.

No, a draw was a fair result over the 90, but their best spell in the last 10/15 came largely because of Chettle’s inaction IMO.

Wasn't there but listened and it was crying out for Chettle to change something just to keep the ball higher up the pitch.
Ardley won't have to be brilliant he just needs a bit of luck with injuries to keep this shower of shit up.
We do need to sign a target man in the window though, even if it means a 39 man squad.

Good to see morecambe keep their battling performances going. Losing to a side like Notts could really have damaged confidence

A 1-1 scoreline is known in football as a draw. Neither side won and neither side loosed as you would say

A little premature there senor :pmsl: if we get relegated then you can say that.
