Are there even any Morecambe fans on this forum?

Anyway, my thoughts:

James Vaughan comes back into the frame, following his suspension against Swindon. Irrespective of what some Swindon fans thought of our performance at the weekend, we did play relatively well considering the number of absentees through injury and suspension.

Fringe players such as Akpan and McCartan came in and made an impact - although I’m sure you wont see much praise for either player, sadly.

Paudie went off with a knock, but he should be alright.

Do we revert back to 442? For me, I think we do!

GK: Richard O’Donnell

RB: Kelvin Mellor
CB: Paudie O’connor
CB: Anthony O’connor
LB: Connor Wood

RW: Harry Pritchard/Zeli Ismael
CM: Hope Akpan
CM: Callum Cooke
LW: Dylan Connolly

ST: James Vaughan
ST: Clayton Donaldson

One of Pritchard or Ismael can consider themselves to be very unlucky not to start. Ismael isn’t quite at full fitness, but he’s arguably our best winger - very direct and sits most opposition players on their arse. Pritchard is everywhere and a real squad player - great engine.

On to Morecambe:

I can’t believe Kevin Ellison is still playing professional football - fair fucks. Aside from him and a few others, I know nothing about what their threats are. Going off past meetings with Morecambe, they absolutely love playing us - it’s somewhat a big game for them - one of which they seem to thrive on - it won’t be easy.

We sold out our allocation a while ago, over 1,600 apparently. They’ll be plenty in the home end, though - there always is.

1-0 City (Donaldson)

Fancy a 3-0’er here, think we’ll win quite comfortably.

Move along, sir, you had yours quite early on in the season.
Haha, I'm genuinely not sure whether you actually think people see the great Bradford as a big draw or if you're playing some kind of long term troll game here.

What does that prove? I mean, I can download a picture and put some text on it but I'll humour you and assume it was made by a Town fan anyway. First home game of the season. Being excited for that is only natural isn't it?

So, what you're saying is that you genuinely think people see you as a massive club and that we are all chomping at the bit to play you before once again ride off into the sunset of L1 failure?:lol:

We're on a winless run that I just can't see ending at the minute, we are terrible across the board.

Take a point all day, but more likely a comfortable defeat. We only got a point against Northampton because they couldn't be arsed showing up in the 2nd half until we equalised, which was then too late.

The atmosphere could be quite toxic if it's another limp home performance.

It's Bradford though mate, bet you're absolutely buzzing for it. Hope you've got your ticket sorted. Have heard that the town has been preparing for this ever since they last came.

It was a still from a vlog made by a town fan. One of numerous vlog’s made by your fans - most of whom commented on the size of the club and the following we have. I didn’t say that, they did.

Drop on to the Morecambe forum and I’m sure you’ll see a few posts not too dissimilar.

Whilst you were kicking your heels in the conference for six years, we crossed paths with Morecambe on a few occasions - it was a big fixture for them through their own admittance. There are a lot of Bradford exiles in Morecambe. One of the biggest caravan sites in Morecambe is owned by a City fan. Do I need to go on?

People that make vlogs are generally idiots who will say anything to appease the people that watch them. Football vlogs generally say very little of any worth, quite apt that you're citing them as a genuine validation of your incorrect opinion.

A couple of posts on a forum suggest that you're a big club and there is a caravan park in Morecambe owned by a Bradford fan?:lol: You couldn't make this shit up.

Like I said, you're either severely deluded or a on a great wind up.

Think we'll win 2 - 0, but there's a nagging smell of a banana skin which I can't shake. After a good result against Swindon, it'd be typical of us to not turn up and get turned over to 2nd bottom with the worst GD in the league. Kevin Ellison is bound to have a say. Not sure what team I'd go with as I don't have the first idea about Morecambe, it was wise of Bowyer to stick an extra man in midfield against Swindon because they have a lot of possession.

Okay I am man enough to admit that very occasionally F-I-R-T-H-Y might not be completely wrong about everything...

Any idea how many Bradford have sold for this as I can’t find it anywhere?

Get over yourself man. As far as this div is concerned, we are a big club. That said, we are a 4th division club and after the happenings of the last 2 years are where we belong. The present management are however turning it round and league 1 will come back. When that happens we will be one of the bigger clubs in that division. I can remember playing in a cup replay at your fish warehouse some years ago when we were 4th div and you were in a higher league. Your fans stopped goading us when Dean Richards headed home our winner.

You might be a big club at this level, but a fixture against Bradford isn't one that sets the pulses racing. That's my point. F-I-R-T-H-Y and a few of you seem to think that you're everyone's cup final. I honestly yawned when you came down. Last time we were in the same division the games were so boring. Away fans put right up high in The Coral Windows Stadium or whatever it was called.

Don't worry, you're not likely to have that problem for too long.

Bradford are one of the biggest in the league, take out the inflated crowds to cheap tickets probably similar to Plymouth/Barnsley sort of size.

Morecambe are tiny so I guess it is a biggy for them more than most other clubs. I'm bored of playing Bradford as we seem to have spent about 90% of the last 15 years or so playing them but can see the extra interest from the minnows of L2.

Bradford will win this, Morecambe looked far shakier at the back than previous Morecambe sides of recent seasons and will struggle to keep Bradford's hitmen out. Cranston was their best player before he saw red so wont feature either.

Like wise these last 15 years it’s been either you, Gillingham or all 3 of us in the same league. And they’re probably the two worst grounds we travel to numbers wise because of it. I’d rather you than gillingham though, for obvious location issues and the fact we got Mark Marshall and Lee Mills off you, two of my favourite players in their respective eras.

You, Gills or Swindon for us!

Slightly before my time Mills, part of one of the great Vale sides though in the mid 90 glory years.

Marshall was decent for us, left us to move to back to a club in London, couldn't get the move, Smurf refused to re-instate the offer and ended up at Bradford probably 60 miles further north of London than where he was!

Aye Swindon are another.

Marshall used to travel down to London after a game, still great for us though, turned us down for Charlton due to location as we offered more money I believe.

Bet like me, Wilsden Bantam et al, you would like to play us again in the division above. Might happen fairly soon; both of us have had horrific European experiences but seem to have now turned the corner. Funny, we have always seemed to do well at your VP and vice versa at ours.

We had some battles at this level and seemed to have both sorted ourselves out in 2012/13, annoying to see us back here really but hopefully now Smurf has gone we've turned a corner.

We always seemed to get a result against Bradford went about 12 unbeaten, now the tables have turned and haven't beaten you for a while (2013 I think).

Nah I think we’ll just miss out on promotion this year, but thanks for your optimism towards us.

Name names then, quotes etc. back up your latest attempt at trying to make out we’re giving it large.

Here's a few unearthed after less than a minute of searching...

Hard to say when you’ve played in the PREMIER LEAGUE and weren’t getting dicked ever week by you tin potters making threads like this like we are nowadays

Sold out, how cute. No doubt queuing around the block for tickets just to catch a glimpse of us, young kids one day able to tell their own grandkids that they were there the day Bradford City came to town.
