Fair play to YouPies who absolutely nailed it early doors when saying HK would be gone by Xmas. He’s my fellow pie hero on here now and we should all listen to his wise words

To be fair, it’s more of a stretch to predict a Notts manager won’t be sacked by Christmas.

Particularly if he’s been brought in as far back as September.

Now I get why Mark Yates didn't put up a fight for us, he was eyeing the Notts job. Would be a good move for you lot, he's got L2 experience, i'll be gutted if he joins you after the fine job he had started at Macc.

We did, but in essence still came out with a slight profit after Evans.

(Look at me defending him!) we're also on 28 points and lost 1 game all season. Fat Al needs to tone it down, he's massively cringe

Slight? We made £100,000 plus according to the papers.

I sympathise with the fans but we are not comparable at all.

If you were a manager worth your salt, you'd not touch them with a barge-pole would you?

Carlton Palmer is available
We get this argument every time the basket-case of the week sack yet another manager, but the fact is there are only 92 positions for league managers, throw in the handful of professional positions in the National League, and for any out of work manager, being in one of those positions is infinitely better than being unemployed/part time.

Of all the clubs to mention ‘cringe’ shortly after reminding everyone of Carlton Palmer. Magic

Mate, you actually paid good money for Flitcroft.

Appleton would do me, or Bowyer if he could be tempted back into the game. Dons fans seem to think Ardley could do with a break from football.
Yes and were not doing too badly are we ,your lot are fast becoming a bit of a joke big al needs his ego boosting so i wouldnt expect a really strong new boss ,who in there right minds would risk there reputation on big als watch ,hope you get what he deserves, the conference

Appleton was at the Barnsley game on Saturday and seems to be the early favourite. This would do me fine, not least because he looks like he could bench press Hardy.

I think i said at the time i was never sure what actual credentials Kewell had for the County job anyway.
Crawley came 14th last year , so was pretty average season. altogether he has managed 71 games and won 21.

Arrogant and smug are two immediate words to describe the deluded character.
Good call from County , i'd be clamouring for Hurst or Bowyer if i was a County fan instead of a big time Charlie.

Carlton Palmer what a man. Did he not once tout himself as a future England manager?

I am sure you all loved him for this. Praising Haslam for how far he'd taken the club whilst you were 23rd in League Two. Impressive even by his bullshit chatting standards.

Got a lot of time for Notts and their fans (bar one particular fan on this forum) but the sad thing is they're slowly but surely turning into a joke club. I blame big Al.

Somewhat ironically, there's an article today on the BBC site about the fact that not one single PL manager has been given the boot so far. Meanwhile Notts are looking to appoint a third manager in four months, and that quite frankly doesn't make any sense at all, because quite a few PL clubs at both ends of the table have got much more to lose than a side that on paper should be much higher in the L2 standings.

Even if Notts believe they are in real danger of losing their league status, you've got to give managers time to turn it around. Apparently Kewell had it coming but Nolan???

Obviously, this would all make sense if Big Al believes they can still go up this year. But then again, only a deluded person would think that so I don't know.

That still makes me angry, typical BBC - nobody on hand to respond to that shite.

I think Nolan will go on to be a massive success in his next job, but nah. Don’t go back.

Fuck off Notts - I was actually semi-confident ahead of Saturday's game. Then you go and throw a spanner in the works.

The last time we changed managers we lost 5-1

I Literally fucking nailed this. Sorry not sorry Kewell was a huge, expensive mistake

Sacking Nolan was a mistake, doubled down by appointing Kewell. Not quite a Jamie Fullerton but not far off it in terms of shameful decisions

God knows where we go next but it genuinely worries me that we will continue to try to talk about playing the right way, being entertaining etc. Screw that just keep us out the abyss of non league.
