Here it is boys. Unfortunately can't include Yeovil in this mega thread.

I do not have a bit of hope that we will survive which I think is a good thing. Expect the worst and all that.

Let's have both teams games in this one thread that will be consigned to the history books as "The date <insert team> disappeared"

Can’t see Macclesfield getting anything less than a point, so your probably doomed. It’s not as if Sol Campbell has done well at Macc either. Really is shocking to see Notts in this position.

I love (for drama's sake) that this season has gone down the final day at both ends of the table, but I imagine you'd rather it hadn't! Both Swindon and Cambridge are in awful form, so I can see a win for both of the relegation candidates. With Macc just needing a point, I struggle to see past a Notts relegation.

Expect County to win; expect our game to be horrible and only have 1 goal in it.

Long shot for us, but stranger things have happened. Realistically we need to score early and put the pressure on Macclesfield, if we’re ahead quickly and their game stays 0-0 for a while then it’s only natural they might become uncertain on how to play it. Equally, an early Cambridge goal would make it interesting.

I’d like to think that the 3 points we will be donating to County would be enough to see them safe - but I fear it won’t.

How can things go so badly in just one season.

We are gone . Knew it weeks ago with about the 6th missed opportunity to get our heads above water . It’s what we deserve without a shadow of doubt , it always is come end of the season you get what you deserve .

It’s been a fair run in the Football League , 156 seasons . Not too shabby :)

It hasn't felt like we'd escape relegation since Newport whooped us in February. Still doesn't, don't really know why I'm going to this one. Long journey home I suspect.
Some fans looking forward to visiting new grounds next season . Dover and Gateshead aren't doing it for me to be honest.
No complaints though, the table doesn't lie and we've sailed too close to the abyss too many times for us not to sink at some point.

90% probability of expected misery, 10% chance of unbridled joy. That's why we go to games like this.

Sorry Notts fans but our bench warmers and kids are not good enough to beat Macc , or Boreham Wood if I'm being honest. Apparently quite a few first team regulars will be leaving in the summer so Calderwood doesn't have anything to gain by playing his strongest side.

I'm not one to say stuff like I told you so, but I did say the other week that Macc will stay up if they take a point off a decent Newport side 'cos I just knew they would then go on and win at Vale.

But did you bet on it ? Hindsight is a wonderful thing especially when it doesn’t involve your own team Vanni .

As you know , the fact is on this forum there are literally dozens and dozens of predictions week in week out so some people are going to be right and more so wrong . So many in fact most go in one ear and out the other and a very forgettable.

How many posts have there been from Macclesfield, Cambridge , Port Vale , and Crawley fans stating their own club was definitely getting relegated . I lost count a couple of months ago .

I’ve literally read dozens of predictions regarding Notts matches from non Notts fans and their strike rate is sadly appalling haha

I rarely bet on Notts but had two big (for me) punts on us this season. First to beat FGR @ 6/1 and to beat Stags @7/2. Won just shy of £1000 so at least this and next year's season tickets are paid for.
After the Lincoln performance they looked a good bet, then it all fell away again.

I expect Notts will win at Swindon. I also think we will beat Cambridge but there's still a chance we could bottle it. Nervy times all round.

I think Macc have the easier game of the two, but who will handle the pressure and hold their nerve? Swindon on their day can beat most teams in the division, but Cambridge have flirted with relegation, as have we.

The bottom line is that Notts have to win and hope that Macc lose. A draw for Macc coupled with their superior GD means that I cant see Notts surviving unfortunately.

If you could pin point one game in a season of poor shows, Exeter winning with 10 seconds left on the clock when Notts should have won sticks out. That coupled with Macclesfield beating them.
If we win at Swindon but still go down we can't even say we went down fighting as the players have let everyone down far too many times the last 6-8 weeks.
We have also lost to Yeovil twice and defeats to most of the bottom 6.
Like I say, I am firmly in the "well non league it is" camp. I just hope come Saturday its not decided in the last minute at either game.

I’m not enjoying being a fan of this team who are likely to put up little resistance in a game of such importance for other clubs. We’re only not involved purely by pulling off a mental win at Bury completely out of character for our season as a whole.

I’m sorry we will put up a shite fight guys, Notts County deserve better opponents for Macc. And we deserve the drop ourselves to be honest.

We will be blooding some youngsters come Saturday, as Wellens has said there are a few of our senior players not giving a toss, who will be shown the door this summer, so i dont know what sort of team will be played , but beware Notts, some of these youngsters will give you a run for your money. Hopefully you stay up, Notts is a good day out!

Yep, although I would say closer to 2% on this occasion! If I didn’t go and we stopped up I’d be kicking myself for years. The jubilation mixed with relief if we did somehow do it would be unprecedented, that’s for sure.

Every now and then you get that team that is in the drop zone for virtually the whole season until the final day, praying it might be us. Far weirder things have happened in football than Cambridge winning at a nervy Macclesfield, but I suspect it won’t be too long until the first Macc goal goes in and then that will be that. Just hope it’s not too unpleasant if so, I will probably fuck off well ahead of the final whistle if the writing is on the wall tbh.

Exactly, it's a long way from being a done deal, and the permutations aren't exactly exotic. Notts win, Macc loss. Boom.

Having said this all of you are forgetting Notts are poor, really, really poor. We have only won back to back games once all season.

It'd just be like Notts to see Macc beaten only for us to mirror that yet again.

Macc should be able to get the point needed you’d think, Cambridge are the exact side you want at this time, not that good, nothing to play for/on holidays and low confidence.

Fair play mate, end of the day there is a little bit of hope and that’s whats taking you there.

The real question is can all of these players fake huge disappointment and a touch of despair when the final whistle goes and they really what’s just happened . Could be a BAFTA award winning performance in there !

The fans won’t need to fake anything .

Twice, or three times actually if you’re being technical, beat Crewe/Crawley/Macc earlier in the season then FGR/Mansfield in Feb. Form since the transfer window shut has actually been mid-table, just too many games we should have won/gone for it more but didn’t, plus the damage was already done from August to Feb, including that fucking goal difference.

Impressed with the Macc fans’ confidence that they’ll do the job, if that was us in their position I guarantee everyone would be saying ‘we’ll fuck it up!’

Definetly not confident, we've played teams in bad form and teams with nothing to play for before and lost abjectly.
