Ahhhh I miss the days where we'd go into these type of games thinking we could actually get something or at the very least, make a game of it.

We'll get soundly beaten within 30 minutes, at least 4-0 Liverpool and we won't even register a touch inside the Liverpool box.

Well I can see changes for this one, especially in midfield, and possibly Gini and Milner to come out for Keita with Fabinho maybe making his PL debut? Possibly other changes maybe up front (Salah out for Shaqiri/Sturridge?) and maybe Robbo out for Moreno.

Ings cant play for Southampton either I believe so that blunts you guys a fair bit too I'd expect.

Yeah we'll start with Shane Long up top. 2 goals in his last 45 games.

I pray to god Salah plays and scores because he really, really seems to lack confidence at the moment and it's not going to be easier in any other of the fixtures we've got before the next international break (no offense tou Southampton, our run is horrible).

Lots of big games with big results for the home team, how often do you see a "flat" performance from a team after that? Going by that theory I think Southampton will play up (like they do sometimes) and make it close.

Liverpool 2 Southampton 1

All three goals, easily avoidable but not when you've got piece of shit defenders like ours. We would struggle to keep cleansheets in League One.

Hughes, Gao, Reed, Krueger and Liebherr can all do one.

No idea how that Salah goal wasn't given, the Soton player stayed on the line throughout that phase so he couldn't have been offside.

No matter 6 out of 6 will do nicely, though hope VVD's knock isn't too serious.

I thought it was distinctly lacklustre if I'm honest. Not much sharpness throughout the team today. Anyway nothing to worry about; most will be rested through the week for the clash next weekend, so hope they'll be back on it for that.

We won 3-0 mate without breaking a sweat. To call that distinctly lackluster is ridiculous. We’ve produced at best a handful performances like this per season for the past ten years.

I'd say it was a professional performance from Liverpool, not a lacklustre one.

Did we really at any point click in midfield or attack today? Na it was patchy, and Klopp admitted he changed the system in the first half, and that it didn't quite work, hence the reason he brought off Shaqiri at half-time.

I'm not complaining in the slightest though. In the past we wouldn't get results without playing well, so this is great. Just hope the front line can really start to click soon and then we'll be devastating.

Brief signs of our link up play becoming more prominent in our tilt at silverware ,there was one moment at Anfield today when something bordering on the cusp of genius evolved at the adroit feet of Firmino ,Shaquiri and Salah ,only for a Saints defender to intervene on what would have been a passage of play that would have sent this Kopite home from Anfield in a state of fucking euphoria..............Still, another three points and top of the league ,whilst our triumvirate have still yet to click.
