There wasn't a single goalkeeper that came anywhere near De Gea last season, his numbers were outrageous. It almost annoys me that he's a goalkeeper therefore people don't go above "yeah he was good innit". And was we all know I'm not a big Man U fan.

I can't decide if this makes sense or if it's utterly absurd.

If the claim that Salah wouldn't make it into a combined Liverpool/United team had been made by anyone else I'd have laughed so long and hard I'd have died. As it's Steven, I'll just laugh a little bit. Then point and laugh. A lot.

Mané is a very good player, his decision making on the ball is fucking fantastic and were I ever to coach a winger I'd have a shitload of reruns of him deciding when to go inside and when to go outside. However, Salah is significantly more talented and it shows every day of the week. Salah isn't a great finisher and that's a slight problem, but he both creates and scores more than Mané and he'd do so in your system as well.

No one creates or scores much in Mourinho's system, what our right wing needs is some pace and magic of the kind I believe Sadio offers more of than Salah. Anyway, I'm just repeating myself.

I don't know Man Utd's system, but isn't that what Sanchez, Martial, Lingard and Rashford are there for; to provide pace and trickery on the wings and then involve Lukaku in the middle?

Sanchez, yes - but only from the left.

Martial and Rashford are both young, inconsistent (naturally) and hardly fancied by Mourinho.

Lingard has been good under Mourinho but he often plays more centrally.

We are desperate for a right winger - though I'm not sure why Sanchez isn't playing there.

He doesn't seem to, no - Lukaku's a bit of a big lump and it works well to have a pacey player like Lingard able to run past him.

We play a 4-3-3 now so Lingard will either come on late as part of the midfield three (probably replacing Fred or even Matic if we are really chasing) or start on the right - he seems to be more dangerous when in central positions, though.
