Thats exactly what Sheff Utd fans were saying when we drew with Birmingham on Wednesday. In fact some were saying it was our worse performance in years.

A match we dominated for 75 minutes with Birmingham parking the bus.
We had numerous attacks, numerous corners but struggled to create a single chance.

Then like the old Mohamed Ali rope-a-dope style after taking loads of punches, from the 75th minute BC suddenly became positive pushing men forward and looking like the home team against a tired looking demoralised SU side.

Really negative tactics from BC packing out their defense, but they had 2 clear chances in the final minutes where they were full of energy and positivity. Based on general play SU deserved a draw but based on chances BC were better. A fair scoreline would have been Blades 0 Blues 1

Maybe Birmingham City deserve credit for making both Sheff Utd and Leeds have their worse performances of the season, doubt its mere coincedance.

Was the same for us last season, every team we beat their fans said it was their worst performance, nothing to do with us playing well obviously

A sizeable chunk of your 63% possession came from passing it sideways in defence, but we are very effective at winning the ball back in midfield when teams attempt to pass it out from the back. Barely noticed Clarke & Washington were even playing, Sharpe & McGoldrick didn’t get a sniff either. Nullified the threat of Duffy. We had enough chances to have won that three or four nil. If we had been more clinical in the other matches we should have won as well, we’d have had 20+ points from 27. We have come out from a tough run of matches with barely a scratch laid on us.
