I'm not sure what happened with today, we'd sold 600 2 weeks ago so thought we'd definitely sell out. It's our lowest following this season but not awful to say it's 148 miles away on a day most will be feeling worse for wear.

I last went to Kenilworth Rd on good Friday 2005. I assume the ensuing years have not been kind to it. Fair play to your 8-9k who turn up every week to sit in that hell hole.

We took 804 for a 12 o'clock kick with the game on TV. That's 41 less than Barnsley brought for the 3pm kick off and not on TV. That is a decent effort. Not that I want to get into an away support debate. There are a lot of factors that affect away support. We are back in this division after quite an absence so we are going to take a few wherever we go. The fact we are doing well adds to those numbers. Fans pick and choose their games especially during this busy festive schedule and the costs involved. So while I was expecting Barnsley to sell out purely because of the importance of the game and the fact they haven't been here for a while I can still understand why others stayed away. Our support on Boxing day at Scunthorpe was relatively poor compared to other recent away games so we can hardly criticize.
You are right about the ground (or the area around it) putting off fans. Its been an issue for many a year. We've been trying to move for 60 years!!! There is no doubt that if our new ground gets built the town centre location and modern facilities will increase both the home and away support.
I will miss KR though when it goes. One of the few old skool stadiums in an era of modern bowls or lego kit stadia.

A few weeks ago I'd have agreed but recent performances have me thinking we'll take the three points even given Bradford's recent resurgence.
