Northampton appear to be recruiting early, and more importantly well.

I think they'll do well this season, hopefully they stay under the bookies radar when I put my pre-season bets on.

Can’t see how it’s a step up, though. Being available and no club higher up the food chain being interested is telling.

Its definitely not a step up for sure. I have a sneaking suspicion that Cambridge may be there or thereabouts in league 2 next season. Calderwood seems to be a decent manager and if he can use his contacts to bring in talent from Villa etc they may do quite well.

Don't know how we've managed to get another club in the FL take Arnold off us and they paid us for the privilege!!

He's not very good at all. Hopefully he's only second choice but I'd doubt that as you've paid a fee.

Clearly Bet 365 have been paying attention odds have dropped from 20 - 25s to 14s others are still a little higher for now!

Delighted with the signings but going to take time for a brand new team to gel, massive summer and pre season for us in making sure we hit the ground running in August.

It will of course take time to gel, but you have them in so early that they will already be bonding and settled in during pre-season. By the time the season starts, they should be good to go.

He's not too bad at shot stopping but he's always prone to atleast one mistake a game you feel. For a big lad, very rarely will he catch the ball from a cross as he's very hesitant to come off his line.

Truth be told, I'm astonished we've got money for him although I can't imagine it being much.

Hopefully he proves me wrong and does well for you though as he's a really nice guy!

Not a signing...but possibly our best signing of the summer.
Oyeleke signed a new 2 year deal.
Expected him to possibly move back darn sarf but if he plays more games he is a great player for us.

Last year was punctuated by niggly injuries but a pivotal part of our team.
We barely lost at all when he played.

We have just signed Alan McCormack after he left Luton, our seventh signing of the summer already (we needed bodies after a serious summer clearout!).

Experienced pro who will sit in front of the defence, very happy with that, needed one for years!

Curle is going for proven winners at this level, Joe Martin, Chris Lines, Adams and McCormack. With signings like this I would expect to be fighting for promotion this season.
McCormack is still certainly good enough for the level above. He probably didn't want to move from the area at this time in his career.

Now Knoyle has signed our defence is beginning to take shape, we still need a left back otherwise we're going to have to move one of our left midfielders back.

Key for us this summer is finding some goalscorers. Already signed Knibbs, a young striker released by Villa but he probably won't be a quick fix to our goalscoring woes. Find a goalscorer and I think we'll shoot up the table.

There is (presumably a fake account) rumour that port vale are interested in our regular keeper bobby olejinik - which I can only assume is a joke

We are a force.

Seriously though, fair play to the physio at Kiddie getting him out of that wheel chair and back playing football. #FootballFairyTale
He's not done much after The Next Karate Kid, excellent in Top Gun mind.

Rumour on our forum that winger Cal Roberts, released from Newcastle has been invited for a trial.

I see he made a couple of appearances for Colchester last season, any good?

Very pleased with the Kyle Knoyle signing. Makes the blow of losing Halliday a little easier.

He’d not even be number one for us so wouldn’t think there’s much in it.

Check out our first 2 goals here, I love you Steve Arnold :woo:

Although to be fair just before he fucked up for the first one he’d just made an unbelievable save tipping Nathan Arnold’s piledriver onto the post.

Glad we’ve signed Knoyle. Swindon fans seem to think it’s a step down which is funny.

He’s not under contract and is still injured.

Would be highly foolish not to offer him a deal though, especially with that dinosaur we’ve got left.

We have just signed GK Steve Arnold from Shrewsbury for an undisclosed fee. No idea if hes any good....

He was rubbish at Dover a couple of seasons ago, but somehow went into the FL.
Flaps a lot.
