Thanks Grimsby fans for keeping everyone fully up to date with all the goings on, signings and rumours at Sincil Bank.

You guys combined are really on top of all things Imps
Give it a rest, the majority of your content is Mansfield related #handbrake and ‘worldwide travel’.

P.S- Italy last time out, southern Spain next followed by the US of A

This is not a dig at Grimsby fans (I think they're a good bunch) but quite frankly, who cares how much money Lincoln are paying their players? Playing budget talk bores me to death, though I do admit it is amusing when clubs fail to go up after spending heavily during the summer.

Most posts from us re Lincoln spending is purely on the wind up, the Akinde transfer fees that went up with every post the most obvious example that a couple of them still went for and bit.

I don't get how people aren't getting this? Maybe I'm giving too much credit to them. This obsession that VM has with us being obsessed is completely biased too. They bang on about us just as much, if not more. I've lost count of how many times have we had to explain that we didn't all hate Paul Hurst because a Lincoln fan has taken great delight in bringing it up time and time again or that we continually get accused of not seeing them as a proper rival despite this being complete nonsense too.

I’ve done the same with Notts Co too and will do it for any club who spend a lot of money (which they sometimes don’t have). I thought it was fairly obvious last week that the Akinde figures were done in jest (starting at 100k and slowly creeping up to 500k) but a few people just didn’t get it.

It gets pretty boring in the off-season on here, even when England are doing well.

People do get it though, that’s what you seem to be missing!! Getting a bite from young over sensitive Imps on here is like shooting fish in barrel.

You are correct any club not spending during pre season (been there many a time) natural reaction is to query where the money is coming from, guess and over estimate wages of those signed players when they clearly have no actual info, and hope for failure. It’s born out of jealousy, all clubs at this level would love the chairman/board to sanction big signings and outbid others on players salaries to hopefully get promotion. It also nicely distracts from the non spending clubs who’s chairman plans to keep things sensible, sign joe average players, no gambles and is happy with a shot at the play offs..... maybe. Sounds fun

Seeing as it’s not my money, and seeing as I and other Notts fans will hopefully over the course of the season benefit from it. There’s very little you can throw my way. Let’s say Dennis cost £135,000 and is paid £3500 p/w.... yayyyyy! Good on the lad, let’s hope he scores a fair few and entertains the supporters.

I know the off season is quiet and traditionally silly season but I’ve never seen anything like it in terms of Grimboland / Lincoln. To suggest the comments are only about wages, and are purely for a humorous windup is laughably incorrect. It’s kinda obvious and there for all to see, it’s a forum after all.

Perhaps because it’s a trio all singing of the Same hymn sheet maybe that makes it look more desperate than it really is#relentless
Right time to go out to watch the big match

They're just so interested in all things Lincoln, flattering I guess, if not slightly weird.

The three main culprits are obvious, Fish, Paul and Son of Imp. Can't remember the last time I saw them discuss Grimsby's prospects come to think of it. But hey ho, guess it's a league footy forum, if we're their topic of choice every night then so be it.

The fact that you are banging on about actual wages quite clearly demonstrates that you don't understand that we are taking the piss. This whole post smacks of you not getting it at all despite you saying that you do. I don't know why you love Lincoln so much, but every so often we get a couple of fans of random teams that despise us for no apparent reason so maybe you're one of them? Of course we are going to try and wind up the Lincoln fans, they've been annoying as fuck for ages now and they deserve everything they get. Part of me now thinks that the real issue is that Grimsby/Lincoln doesn't involve Notts County? But surely you wouldn't be as egotistical as that...

...fucking state of you right now. Have a word with yourself. Get Luke Imp to get you out the first team. Have an ice bath. Go to the Lake District, NOT Ibiza. Get a massage. Get down the gym. Come back at the end of the month ready for the new season, because you're embarrassing yourself right now. You actually used to be alright at this, too.

What year was the last time you had a hunch, and were right SOC ? I’m guessing the vast majority of non Lincoln fans know you lot were on the wind up. Only Conks knows actual wages of L2 players, or didn’t you know that?

So although I regularly take the piss out of Lincoln, I Love them ??? Err ok. And “I despise Grimsby” (better add that to Mansfield, and Vale) because I highlight the three amigos slightly bizarre and verging on weird fascination and obsession of all things Lincoln. Yes we know finally Lincoln have the upper hand, after a long long wait, and we all know Grimsby were pretty much a joke all last season and played a distant second fiddle but all season and this pre season you almost get more Lincoln info from you lot than the pubescent Imps. Times are clearly tough for the mariners

Whatever floats your boat boys. Let’s get back to the talk of Akinde’s fake wages :woo:

Okay, so you're saying that you are even in your pisstaking and don't take sides? Tbh it hasn't felt like that recently so I will start recording your bantz in an Excel sheet to see if you are correct.

Secondly, "three amigos"? Did you just say that because Impish said "three perverts"? I would advise you to do your own research in future and not use the work of a poster whose mind is degrading.

Excel document? Do what you have to do buddy just don’t fall into the ‘too sensitive’ trap occupied by so many.

No I didn’t, your guess work is once again off the mark. Three Amigos, it’s a 1986 film with the then excellent Chevy Chase, Steve Martin and Martin Short. A bit of a cult movie, and not actually as good as people remember. A couple of very funny scenes but overall 5.5/10. Unsurprisngly, where it came from.

We need a signing and quick , and one not made by Lincoln to get us back on track

If you’ve beaten a league one team to signing him it doesn’t take a rocket scientist or a football agent to work out you’re probably paying him quite well
We haven't signed him, he chose to come on trial with us.

Tbf, there's little difference between that and Grimsby fans reckoning no-one at Lincoln rated Jon Nolan when they clearly did.

Anyway, transfer rumours.

We'll, hopefully, be signing 5 more and they'll mostly be loans. Sounds like we have a couple of bids in for loans players.

In addition to Ben Nugent and Lee Shaw, we also have Forest U23 players Adam Crookes and Toby Edser on trial with a view to loan deals.

Thank Christ for that.

It’s gone absolutely dead again with Mansfield, although to be fair it was last time a day or two until we did the treble signing.

Paul Anderson is technically on the transfer list but went to Portugal where as Paul Digby and Zander Diamond did not so I expect them two to move on hopefully!
