Did you get all the tickets you were after?
Yes, I did. Wife, me, one brother and my son (both live in London), plus two Swedish friends who just happen to be in London over the game and one of son's mates who's been to town games in London before. So 7 in all, confirmed this morning with a shipping notice at 09:07.

Red wine on the train down, a few pints of Real Ale before the game and who knows what the result will be?

Could give more to you as the home fans weren't bothered about facing Bradford
Probably not but expect they would’ve wanted to see their Chelsea side, the best team in the country at the time by a mile and eventual Premier league champions, winning at a canter.

Just over a two hour trip on a Saturday. Are we back in the Conference? I think some of our fans must have already set off for Chelsea as well.
The atmosphere was really flat too and I think it rubbed off on the players first half, once we scored it improved of course but in the first half I heard some proper twatty stuff being shouted.

Poor away following from us, but hardly a surprise given it’s our 3rd visit to Grimsby in less than a month and taking into account the off the pitch state of our club.

People looking at Macc from the outside must think we’ve been a good team to support for the last 5/6 years due to the on the pitch success from the Askey years, but we’ve been appallingly run as a football club for 10 to 15 years and it’s alienated a lot of people who just don’t attend regularly anymore, like myself. I’ve not been to more than 10-15 Macc games a season for over 5 years, compared to 10 years ago when I was going 40-50 a season - I, along with many others, just don’t have the enthusiasm anymore.

It’s hard to gauge since it was so long since we were not abjectly run, but I genuinely believe a well-run Macclesfield Town could be sustainable as a bottom half L2 side on crowds of 2500+, but being well run is currently a pipe dream and I’ll continue to attend infrequently in the meantime as our club continues on it’s slow death spiral.
