Word on the street is that Wigan have agreed to pay us £3M for Jamal Lowe.

What with this and the Matt Clarke fee, we are now sitting on a mountain of transfer cash (for League One level).

A week or so Kenny said that he wasn't looking to bring anyone else in. I expect that this may now change, although our strict wage structure will still make any so-called "marquee" signing difficult. Could be an interesting couple of weeks.

No fee has been agreed. Lowe was training today. If a fee was a agreed he'd be up and Wigan sorting the move out

Ah go on then you can have twinkle toes Kyle Bennett back for a cool 1 million...

Drift easily past an opponent....see a pass to a team-mate in a great position.....decide not to pass to said team-mate.....have ball stolen from behind by original opponent..... rinse and repeat ad nauseum.

We've somehow managed to double our money in flipping Conor Chaplin who is off to Barnsley for £1m+ and add-ons. I imagine that 200k of that will be heading Portsmouth's way but still, hell of a deal for a player who never really looked good enough.

"A Trialist", who came on as a sub and had a pretty decent last 20 minutes against Huddersfield last night, was apparently young Bristol City winger Jonny Smith. Looked rapid and skilful - wouldn't mind seeing more of him.

Marcus Harness signs 3 year deal undisclosed fee thought to be "substantial". Likely to be north of 800k.. Might pave the way for Lowe to leave, however we aren't budging on £3mil. Really excited bout this fella.

We had him on loan last season, though in the end fell behind Morris, Pringle and Connor Jennings in the pecking order for wide players. Probably more talented than the first two, though does lack stamina.

I don't think he is more talented than Pringle and Morris. He is pacy and has an eye for goal, but probably is not good enough for League One, hence we did not try and keep him this summer. He would do well for a middling League Two side.

You have got one hell of a player.
Scored a great goal Tues night too against sheff u
Has so much potential
I'm gutted.. But we have to accept our size of club and we can't hold talent long term. Fact of life

Cheers, Barton. I remember Harness causing us plenty of problems during our slightly fortunate win at your place. Looks like he must have caught Jackett's eye.

For your size of club you are run brilliantly, with Clough still in charge I wouldn't be surprised to see you push the top 6.

Looks like Ajayi off to WBA for 1.5 million rising to over 2 million after fee has been agreed.

He slows the attacks down so much; it will get to him and whilst his control is good he takes ages to finally lose the ball. Swindon seemed to like him but cant afford his wages. Must have a top agent!

Since we probably have the budget of a middling League Two side, he might be worth a dabble!

Rumour our end we're attempting to buy (as in pay actual money for) Dominic Samuel.

Didn’t see enough of Pringle, but Smith was able to do the unexpected or conjure a goal out of nothing, in a way Morris can’t. That’s not to say Morris isn’t a better fit for Rovers, maybe even a better player, but more of a grafter.

Yes, I agree. Smith is more showy but Morris has the better football brain and more tactical awareness.

Very sorry to see Semi go and he is a really difficult player to replace for us as he can play in 2 or 3 positions equally well.

Shame he only had 12 months left on his contract otherwise we we would surely have held out for more.

I certainly wish the lad all the best in his future career.
He has paid a nice tribute to the club and fans for the support he has received during his all too brief stay here.

Class on and off the field, we lose a fine player and our best song .

We had to sell him now otherwise we would have got nothing for him next season.

That's 3.6 million with potential rising to 6 million altogether by selling 2 players which is fantastic business.

Agreed, hopefully it will also encourage future players to come if they can see a pathway to better things.

Had Anthony Grant playing for us today. Sort of player we've been missing but what did he do wrong Shrewsbury fans? Bog standard fallout with manager or something unspeakable?

So despite having no owner, being under a transfer embargo, and facing the very real prospect of liquidation on July 31, we had Damien McCrory on trial for us today.

Can any Burton fans provide an insight? Good enough for NL?

Not got the same fancy footwork as his uncle Glenn

We have had a bid accepted for Ross County midfielder Jamie Lindsay.

He's 23 years old and was best player in Scottish championship last season apparently.

We are also close to signing Leicester keeper Iversen on loan for season who spent on loan at Oldham last season.
