We needed keepers after losing both of ours on frees. I imagine the Donny lad will be first choice and the Bradford lad will be reserve.

Our local rag reckons that keeper Luke McGee is likely to leave for first team football. Looked very promising and was highly rated when we first signed him from Spurs a couple of years back. However, he made crucial mistakes and was replaced last summer by McGillivray who had an excellent season.

There's a good keeper in there somewhere - good shot-stopper but needs to cut out those howlers. He's still young so could turn into a quality keeper if he can find his feet, maybe for a League Two team.

Beevers to posh is a decent coup. Proper centre half there, great in the air. Makes the odd fuck up but thought he’d get better offers if I’m honest

Would imagine Posh are paying him well though?

Really ?

He's a cart horse , zero pace , even in Div 1 you need defenders who are mobile more than the old school " he's good at headers type " hope you prove me wrong !

We've also signed an 18 year old from Fylde , a midfielder , one for the future hopefully who represents Azerbaijan at Under 19 level.

He's not a cart horse, when he first came through for us he was superb and could play but it seemed to be coached out of him, think he needed to mentally stronger but will do a job for you.

Yeah he was neat and tidy for us mostly. I’d have had him back, even in the championship tbh. He’s definitely good enough for league one

We (Wimbledon) have signed Nesta Guinness-Walker from the Met Police.

'Apparently' he turned down offers from two Prem clubs to join us, so make of that what you will...

They were probably just thinking of the potential sponsorship deal.

I think they'll be announcing the signing of John 'Smooth ' Smith later.

We had Luke McGee on loan from Spurs before he joined you & with 1 of our keepers on transfer list some rumours of McGee to come back , personally I'd like a fresh face .

He certainly looks the part, and can pull off some stunning saves. However, it got to the point with us where Jackett just couldn't risk having him keep dropping the ball at the strikers feet. If he gets his confidence back he could be a great asset.

You paid Fylde a six figure fee according to Sky Sports

We've signed Hiram Boateng from Exeter. Decent L2 player, hoping he can step up to L1.

Was always going to happen as Tisdale loves a former player....

Good player and has potential to go a long way. He is inconsistent though and only scored 3 goals in 70 odd games. Technically he’s fantastic and he is still under 24 so will improve.

We will be due compensation and suspect it will be around 75-100k

Doesn't he play as a defensive midfielder though? 3 in 70 isn't too bad if that's the case. I read he only played 28 games this season but still managed 7 assists. He seems to have performed better under Tisdale, so hoping he can bring out the best of him again.

Wish we'd stop poaching your players though, the only one who has been worthwhile has been JMT and even he missed half the season through injury.

Wash your mouth out young man.

Why the wash your mouth out ?

The Last Waltz is one of the most popular songs sung in London Road by the older generation , maybe the person with same username is also a Posh fan ?

We have been linked with Dan Butler Left Back from Newport , be very good signing if happens to go with the other 3 new signings .

Your forgetting that Fergie will probably play him in goal

It's been our song for a while now...wasn't aware that Posh also had it!

I would also enjoy Dan Butler signing for us, very decent full back option.

When Joe says The Last Waltz has been our song "for a while now", he means since at least the early 70's.

I also had no idea it was ever a Posh song. Never heard them sing it.

He’s played as a defensive midfielder at times but has operated more as an orthodox midfielder or in an attacking role too so he definitely needs to up his scoring rate. He missed a few months due to a hip flexor injury, which was a huge shame for him and us.

I think you’ve got a good player though. If he stays fully fit and works on some aspects of his game, I can see him being a top L1 player in a year or two.

Simpson and Harley really were pointless signings as both were on the decline for some time. JMT is very good but has had a lot of injuries in his career...Wheeler seemed to be doing ok come the end of his loan. Would you want him back?
