I'd take Boateng.

Surprisingly we haven't made any announcement on our manager yet. I thought Bond would get the job straight away as he kept us up but nothing so far.

Christy Pym and Hiram Boateng both look to be leaving us this summer as they are out of contact and expect they will turn up in L1.
Pym has been linked to Ipswich but that may just be BS. Good ‘keeper and still young.

Boateng is 23 so we’d get compensation...On his day he’s unplayable but he is inconsistent so not yet the finished article. In time though he’d become a great player.

I wonder if we’ll try to nab Boateng back. Would take him.

Has Oshilaja turned into a footballer then Meadow? Had him on loan in 2014, played twice but looked so lost. We also had Tom Soares a decade ago and somehow he made 25 appearances as we went down to League One.

Deji was our POTS last season. He was very good. We got a couple of bids for him last summer and our refusal messed with his head. He was then appointed captain to compensate but he isn't a leader and was a shadow of his former self. He was also injured for a while. Given the right players around him, he can probably do a job. Suggestions are that he was mentored by our older Pros last season.

Soares was dubbed a wardrobe along with Liam Trotter and Jimmy Abdou last season. Very much a bit part player under Wally but he saw something in him “I’ve had to make some difficult decisions about players that won’t be with us next season. Tom Soares will be leaving us. He has been fabulous as a senior professional. I’ve used him when I thought I could and he did great for me when he came on. He’s been an inspiration to the younger players in training every day and when playing in the reserve games. I’ve highlighted it to the young players that if they want to have long careers in the game, then they don’t need to look any further than Tom Soares".

Now we need to work out how we can offload contracted sicknotes James Hanson and Kwesi Appiah. Both good players at times but too much time out injured.

We've made our first signing of the window. Kyle McFadzean on a free from Burton. What that means for Willis, I'm not sure. He's been offered a new contract but I'm not sure he'd even be first choice next season now.

Great signing for Coventry. Was absolutely key for us in our promotion to the Championship in 2015, a proper old-school, no-nonsense CB and back in the 2014/15 season was probably the best CB in L1 after Aden Flint at Bristol City. He's 32 now, and there are quite a few better CBs than him in this league, but still a quality addition to any defence.

I see you share our views on Jake Jervis! Absolutely dreadful, one of the few missteps of the past 2 years for us- we actually paid money for him!

What has happened to Jervis in the 18 months since we signed him? He was a perfectly serviceable forward then - since that point he has done the square root of absolutely fuck all. Did he get all big time when he got his contract at Luton?

Total panic signing by us when Hylton got injured last season. He’s a winger primarily and I think we played him as an actual winger maybe once, on his debut (where he was also crap fwiw) and from that point on he was played as a forward which he simply isn’t.

It’s a mixture of a panic signing, and him playing in a side that was not suited to him at all that has shot his confidence I think.

Apparently we're interested in NAC Breda left back Greg Leigh - formerly of Man City, Bury, Bradford and Crewe.

No idea. A panic signing by Ardley and did f'all. Actually, that's a lie, he scored at Wycombe and cupped his ears at our supporters. Maybe he'd do a job at Notts County in the National League because he sure as hell isn't good enough for L1 and probably not L2.

Luke O’Neil and Billy Bingham left apparently.
Luke was OK without setting the world alight.
I liked Bingham but had a terrible time with injuries.
All in all not bothered by either really.

Slightly disappointed by O'Neill leaving. As a right back he was solid enough and did offer a threat going forwards too. Bingham was just constantly injured, although good when he played.

O’Neil was brilliant against us in the 2-2 draw. Put in some great crosses and his free kick to get a point was absolutely superb. Definitely one of the better individual performances against us this season, that witnessed in any case.

Just mention to a bunch of Cambridge fans Kwesi is available and they'll nag the board until they relent to take him off your hands. He has a cult like status here based on an old 6 month loan deal. Plus we love an old crocked striker ;)

Lincoln are after Ben Coker. Out of contract with us and on his way back from terrible knee injury. One of the best left backs in the league on his day. Would be sad to see him go but a part of me does think his time is up with us, could see him going

Be a little bit of a surprise given that our first choice is Harry Toffolo and seems more than adequate, albeit more of an attacking full back than a defensively solid one.

That said, we only ran with two available FB's for most of last season so it is an area we need cover in. I'm just not sure Coker is the sort of player you'd sign as cover (that's if DC sees him as cover or a more defensively solid first choice option)?

That probably spells bad news about our other LB Sam Habergham, who hasn't played since April 2018 and underwent, hopefully, career saving surgery not long back.

No I can’t see him signing to be a bench player but at the end of the day it’s all down to money. We have released him today and BBC are reporting you are signing him. Good luck to him

Wouldn't at all blame them for taking it but, at the risk of having egg on my face, I'm quietly confident they won't go.

And Middlesbrough, Swansea and other championship side that will be looking for a manager.
We know he's going some time soon if not this summer then definitely next summer as the vast majority of under contract until then.
Our local journalists think they wont (you don't get one without the other) but journalists from elsewhere who don't know them think they're off.
He has been in our local press a lot lately wanting a major investor to join us to get us the money to challenge at the top end of league one, this could be the deciding factor in whether they stay or go.

We're expecting some of the squad to leave so money can be investing into the playing budget and Toffolo can well be one to go along with Andrade. Others who may leave are Wilson and Smith as they are down the pecking order. Another possible is Anderson.

Don't you just love rumour season?!
Yep, I think Bruno is very likely to leave , more so than the Cowleys, especially if the money can be used for the playing budget as we've done the last two summer by selling Raggett and Woodyard, also to a degree Green.

Us and a couple of other Championship clubs are supposedly looking at Ryan Tafazolli on a free, why was he released if clubs higher up the league are looking at him? Just refused to sign a new deal?
