Would be more than enough money to help you finish off your 3 sided Subbuteo stadium though, wouldn’t it?

Not really as we are in dispute with stadium owner Firoz Kassam over some stadium charges. And it would be down to him currently to fund it anyway, considering we rent the stadium at a rip off rent.

Maybe it's frustrating to often hear we got blah blah blah $ but that's not chump change to anyone. Ask the Premier League clubs squabbling at transfer tribunals when they sign a lower league youngster and fight tooth and nail

The whole thing on twitter between Luton and Plymouth fans really is quite embarrassing. Makes you realise what an absolute hole Twitter is really, the people who really should be keeping their idiotic mouths shut seemingly feeling justified and enabled to throw out there disgusting opinions to all. Some right morons on both sides, the undercurrent of racism about the inhabitants of Luton is really beneath contempt.

Its a League 1 footballer for christ sake. And he might not even sign here!!!

Rarely go on Twitter, so have no idea what is being said, and do not really care. I would rather Bradley was staying, but he has every right to get significantly more money or length of contract from another club. If it is Luton, then so be it. I thank him for what he done for us and wish him well. Tomorrow the sun will come up from the east, and we move on.

As said, no. But if you really want proof, then in the two years we have been L1 we have sold far more than £4m worth of players. Theres nothing special about those sort of figures now, football has changed.

What’s the point of this argument?

I just enjoyed your diva "newsflash" comment. No real intention to start an argument - I'm not the one insulting your club, after all, just saying that selling £4m of players is demonstrably not enough to be a financial powerhouse in this division. Good grief if that is enough to cause offence

I didn’t say we would be a financial powerhouse. If you compared the numbers in the financial situation thread, you can see we are fairly competitive.

You responded to a post that said you must have a few quid. A financial powerhouse has a few quid. Your post in the financial thread mentions a £40m investment which sounds a bit more relevant than your paltry transfer income.

That's a red herring though, because half of that money has gone into land so far, plus the remainder is spread over 10 years of ownership.

Transfer income is irrelevant. It’s what the owner(s) do with it that’s important.

We pocketed £5-6m when we flogged off our players after losing the play off final - we got relegated but the owner got a nice golf course.

The playing side isn’t always a priority for those who hold the money.

Looks like Greg Leigh is heading back to Bradford. They will owe us some money bearing in mind his age.

Gets forward well but he is the worst crosser I've ever seen. Good lad though.

Left here for more game time as James Meredith was by far first choice left, did alright in his few starts here so reasonably happy if he returns, I think mid table ish signings are our level at the minute so not expecting anyone stand out.

He makes great runs and gets in great positions but he just never looks up. There's the odd occasion where he does something great like v Shrewsbury

here if you fancy looking.

Meredith had zero end product and he was still better than most left backs in this division.

Leigh looked good when he was here but we were a much more solid side defensively than we are now. He’d still be a decent option.

Joe Riley signs after leaving Shrewsbury

Nice lad is Joe and a decent right back, better going forward than defensively but a very capable player for League 1. He's capable of scoring the occasional specatular goal too as he has a good shot on him from distance.

Look after him, he and his partner have been through an awful time in recent months. I'm glad he's found himself a decent club at a good level.

According to some bloke on Twitter, we've been linked to Nile Ranger. I hope this is just a random bloke making stuff up.

Fejiri Okenabirhie and Kieran Kennedy join from Dagenham and Macclesfield respectively. Both join on undisclosed fees.

Any Rotherham, Doncaster, Peterborough or Scunny fans have an opinion on Harry Toffolo? Sounds like we're keen on him.

He’s played more games for us than any of the above. Real nice guy who we would welcome back to the CG any time. If he signed for you he’d still get a warm reception from our lot.

A video of a clearly intoxicated Marc McNulty and pal doing the rounds where both state he's coming to us. As if.

Signed Bristol Rovers Left Back Lee Brown. Another no frills player. We needed a few more players with league one experience. 27 at his peak. Glad we are doing business early as we missed out last year the cook leaving, takeover etc...

He started off slowly for us but had been injured so not fully match fit, he got better the more he played and was pretty solid. Nothing spectacular but very steady.

Sounds like the Jack Marriott transfer saga is hotting up again. Peterborough demanding £6.5m. Obviously a huge windfall for them, but we would stand to gain another £1.2m making the total value of the transfer to nearly £1.7m for a player who cost nothing.

A £4.8m profit is not bad for a player who cost a mere £0.5m..or put another way a R5.3m opportunity lost for Luton

Or £1.7m for a fourth choice striker isn’t a bad result. Which is the same amount as our third choice from last season too.

Would say this does have potential legs. Karl Robinson was calling Nile Ranger one of best strikers in the league when he was at Charlton last season.

Playing the best striker in L1 fourth choice and still trying to call it a victory
