Japan go into this game knowing a win guarantees them progression to the last 16. They'll fancy their chances against a poor Poland side that are heading home. A draw would also probably be enough too, so their task is simple.

As for Poland, they only have pride to play for. So will they throw a spanner in the works, or will Japan get the result they need to qualify?

For some reason japan have rested several of their better players due to the fact their coach wanted as many "fresh" players as possible due to the hot conditions.

Disappointing how this game fizzled out
Agreed, but they were monitoring the other game, and saw that Senegal were struggling to create even one single decent goal scoring opportunity. Still a massive risk mind you, but bear in mind they were playing Poland, a side that can excels at punishing their opponents on the break.
