Home Park- Plymouth Argyle FC Ground Guide

How Easy Was The Ground to Get To (from the station, by car, etc)

You pass the ground on your left on the main route into Plymouth, cant miss it!

If Applicable, How is Parking Near The Ground?
We parked at the ground, which took a little while to get out though not too bad.

Based on Where You Were Sat, How Was the View?
The ground has been modernised on three sides, so the views are generally very good for the most part.

If You Ate at The Ground, How Would You Rate the Food?
Dont know if they still do since they dont sponsor them anymore, but all the food was Ginsters stuff when we went!

How Was The Atmosphere At The Ground, From Both Sets of Supporters? Does the Stadium Hold the Noise?
Outstanding. Probably not that good every week, especially not now in League Two, but it was very good for the FA Cup game when we played there.

How Are the Pubs and Local Attractions in The Local Area?
Not a lot immediately near the ground, but the city centre is only a short walk away so we went there.

Overall Score Out of 10?
Quality little ground, the fact its so far away is its biggest downside!
8/10

I went to the League Cup game last week and have been to Home Park on many occasions, so in order.

The railway station is roughly 15 minutes away via Central Park (slightly uphill on the way there)

Never driven, but there is a decent sized car park on site.

The Barn Park End has good views, wish it was still terraced though.

The food isn't too bad, and they were selling beer in the away end.

For a 1st round LC game the atmosphere was OK, quite a decent crowd as well.

There are numerous pubs in the City Centre and Barbican areas. My favourites are the Walkabout, Union Rooms (JDW), Bank and Dolphin on the Barbican. Last week, however, I went to Mutley, and drank in the Dog and Duck, the JDW and the recently reopened Hyde Park, which I believe is a micropub (no colours though). The away end is 10 minutes walk from there.. After the match I had time to pop in to James Street Vaults, which is now the nearest pub to the station, since the Pennycomequick closed.

The JSV caters for the student population, but does have Sky Sports and holds a quiz every Tuesday.

Plymouth's biggest event is the fireworks championships that were held on Tue and Weds of this week.

Overall rating 9/10
For last Tuesday 9.9/10
