Christ knows what team we will put out on Saturday due to our current injury list but it’s a big game for us as we really neee a league win to edge back towards the top 3.

We stopped the rot with a 2-0 win last night in the shit cup thingy against a second string Bristol Rovers, but hopefully that will inject some confidence. Ogbene is back to give us pace and width plus Lee Holmes is nearing a return so I am hoping we can create some chances for Stockley and Forte.

Northampton will be really tough. Curle is a solid manager and seems to have improved them already, so I am taking nothing for granted. How many fans are likely to make the trip? At least you will have the new away end to grace....

We can’t afford to concede first otherwise it could be a long afternoon. I am going to stick my neck out and say we will nick this 1-0. Stockley penalty.

I notice that we have been given the terrace and the IP Office Stand?
When are you opening the new seated stand or is that now a home designated area only?

At the moment it's only home fans - I think block A in the new stand will be given over to away fans eventually but not for another month or so I suspect.

Not confident, we seem to take an age to get over bugs!
Stockley needs some decent service, defence need to be settled, midfield need to string some passes together.
I can see a 0-0

Too many injuries and low confidence levels equals........a 5-0 win and me wondering what all the fuss was about....and then I woke up and realised we had lost 2-0.....not like me to predict us to lose

Fancy us here reading about Exeter’s injury problems. Curle has got us on an upward curve and we’ll travel down to Exeter with expectation rather than hope

(I say we’ll travel - I’m not going and I can only see a couple hundred making the trip)

Yeah looking at some of your recent results Curle seems to have made a good start. And some of the players on your books like Pierre, O’Toole, Crooks, Van Veen etc should be top performers at this level so I think this will be a tough test for us.

For us, a lot will depend on how we setup the midfield. Nicky Law has to play centrally as when he’s on the ball he’s a class act. Also we need to play with some width to supply Stockley in particular as if you stop the balls to him then you’re half way to a result. Luckily a couple of wingers are back (Holmes and Ogbene) so we should carry a threat down the flanks.

Van Veen seems to be really finding form recently, hopefully Crooks is back as well!

Going for a score draw here which wouldnt be a bad result.

Gutted about that. Thought we controlled it but a makeshift defence fell at the last hurdle. Stockley scored a good goal but missed an easier one.

A real disappointing end to a decent game. Stockley’s miss was a real turning point and to concede so late is a kick in the teeth.

We started very well and deservedly took the lead but got pegged back when Northampton broke from our corner to score. Holmes went close for us and Pym pulled off a decent save from Van Veen, before Stockley regained the lead with a decent header.

Second half saw us play on the counter quite a bit but can’t recall Pym being tested too much. Law had a couple of shots that were close and Stockley had half the goal to hit but somehow put it wide.

To be fair Northampton put the ball in our box quite a bit and they got their reward with a last minute goal. Annoying. You could see Curle has got Northampton playing well as they did cause us some problems but to be pegged back twice is frustrating.

Still, it’s an improvement and we’re starting to see some players coming back now so hopefully we can pick up a win soon.

Sounded a fair point on the wireless. Pressed hard late on and got our rewards, up the Curle revolution

We were fortunate with the last minute OG, but just over a month ago we would have caved in after the first. Always thought that we had an opportunity to get something when you started defending on the edge of your eighteen towards the end.
