54th - Jean-Pierre Papin

One of the most iconic French strikers of his generation Papin's time in Italy is nowhere near the pinnacle of his career with Marseille. Nevertheless he still managed to score 18 goals in just 40 Serie A appearances and holds two Serie A winners medals. Thoroughly deserving of a place on this list.

53rd - Hristo Stoichkov

Football legend who only played 20+ games in Serie A. But it's fucking Stoichkov mate. If he'd only been a Cremonese season ticket holder in the early 90's you couldn't leave him out.

52nd - Marco Branca

49th - Marco Di Vaio

The vast majority of Di Vaio's Serie A goals came after the 1990's but here's a video of a few he scored before 2000.

Had no idea most of those players performed in Serie A at some point.

Papin's time at Milan isn't exactly looked up to in France but it is respected. Not like Dugarry's stint at Barcelona.

Played as a striker during Sampdoria's 1998- 99 season. Bit deeper for Parma but for the purposes of this fine feature he counts.
So pipe down smart arse.

Man, I know the history of my country's league pretty well and I can tell you that Kanu, Bergkamp, Stoichkov and Dichio shouldn't be in the list cuz they left no sign in Italy. And Marco Negri played well in the Italian Serie B and Scottish Premier League, but definitely not in Serie A.

Your input is meaningless.

Well, do as you wish, it was just an advice. But if you think that someone who has 4 appearances and 1 goal in Serie A (Dichio) deserves to be in the list of the best strikers maybe you don't know what "striker" means.

I don't need your advice and I am well aware of the definition of a striker. Now if you'd kindly jog on that'd be great. This is not a thread for smartarse Italian football fans and I have no idea what gave you the impression it was.
