Just the 11 months after the incident the FA charge Forestieri with using racist words.

What was his charge in court he got off with? Hes probably said something, as did John Terry as did Suarez. The way the Mansfield player reacted says that, gotta be a prick to make this stuff up otherwise. Be another 4 game ban and an 50k fine or summat.

QPR have renamed our stadium to the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. He was a QPR youth player that got fatally stabbed a number of years ago whilst trying to break up a fight.

Out of the options I am happy with this one, especially with the rise of knife crime in London.

When I first read it earlier my initial thought was wtf, but then reading into it, fair play, very impressed.

Nice one R's.
I thought you would have had a sponsors name for the finance but that is a classy thing to do.

I think we are doing it to help us be in a position to take over the Linford Christie site for a new stadium. I think doing something like this is helping to make us look appealing to the council and convince them to sell us the land.

I thought the name would be 'sold' to Tony Fernandes, forhis airline company and make it so QPR get overpaid for it, giving us more leeway in FFP.

Putting this in here rather than in the transfers thread as it might get missed in there.

'With a week until the new season begins, eight of the 24 Championship clubs are yet to pay money for a single permanent signing this summer. The numbers are stark. Last summer, Championship clubs spent a combined £201m. The current figure this summer is £66m. Even with a likely late splurge, the total will fall well short. '

Worth a read while taking a shit.

FFP working to it's remit well, strangling the non parachute payment clubs and trying to make a closed shop Premier Leaguee.

So a team spending millions which is way beyond their turnover is also fair?

We account for about a 6th of that spend, don’t have parachute payments, and aren’t spending well beyond our means.

What FFP does do is stop stupid teams from racking up loads of debt. If clubs want to be more successful they’ll have to get a lot smarter, rather than just throwing a lot of money at it.

This is absolutely right. Put it in as private shareholding rather than loans if you want to spunk lots of money with no guarantee of a return.

I wonder how many clubs at this level have already used the “sell your stadium” loophole. Reckon we’ll see some in serious problems in 2-3 years, and a lot of smaller budgets

But the flip side, as I've said before, is clubs coming down have in recent years demolished the market, they have made the average fees rise by about 125% and the wages so clubs either compete and go for it to get the PL riches or we have an almost closed shop unless you can do a Sheff Utd or Wolves.

If the owner is wealthy enough to spend and write it off without putting the club in peril then they should be allowed to match PP for me.

A few clubs don't own their grounds per the accounts so makes that loophole a no go.

I mean, we’ve got into the play offs once, finished in the Top 11 five times in a row, and had a bottom 6 budget or lower in all of those seasons.

I’d say that’s competing with the big boys.

Yep and it's a commendable strategy but it's actually got you nowhere in essence, your still down here with us. Your summer is game of cat and mouse with transfers too.

I like how Benham et al is doing it but is treading water now the aim or so you want the lot, and if need be come Jan would you accept if he splashed the cash?

We’ve spent over £10m this summer, I wouldn’t call it treading water. We’re a much better team now than we were when we first came up, but you need other teams to have bad years, and a bit of luck to go up.

Fair enough, and i know you've spent, I don't think you have enough yet but you know your team better than I. Think Raya for Bentley isn't a upgrade and will remain a soft spot.

All the best to the lad, if they have caught it early he will be alright for sure.
I was lucky enough to get my diagnosis at its early stage 18 years ago,and I thank the NHS every day.

Isnt it really beacuse of the Premier League allowing too much money to leave the game, rather than investing and allowing a much better trickle down. Theres so much money up there greedy Club owners (often foreign without the passion?) are bound to do whatever they can to get there.

The Premier League only exists due to English fans. There would be no Premier League if there was no Championship, L1, L2, Conf etc. Its built on the passion England has for the game. Nowhere else has the depth of clubs leagues and fans

Fans having to pay £30 a game when a player is earning £1M a week is obscene. Dont even get me started on agents fees.

O’Dowda’s signed a 3 year deal with an option of a 4th.
