Think you're right. A Wembley cup final day out would be very attractive to occasional and curious fans. We could probably bring 20,000+.

Think Gills did double that for a play off that mattered. One woman I worked with went for her one and only ever game. I don't have a problem with people who identify as fans, as one day they might send their kids who get hooked.

I'd say Telford are better supported than both Barnet and Fylde.

Good team as well, very impressive when we played them in round 2 or 3 or whatever it was. Could be a tough game.

We are playing like absolute AIDS, so I’m expecting defeat.

Certainly, as tinpotters go Telford are not bad and can definitely get some decent crowds when they want to. They are a bigger club than 90% of the current tinpotters in the National League.

Indeed. They would be a decent National League sized club.

I put them in a similar category to Chorley. Tinpot but respected.

Great result for stockport and I'm looking forward to what will no doubt be two tough games. They've been flying this season but at the end of the day with our position in the league and there's in the league below, we should be winning this over 2 legs. Got to be big favourites

Also in that category for me are Maidstone (minus the pitch), Kiddy and what Halifax would be without B2TF.

Feel like Macclesfield and Alty can be included in that group as well.

Favourites yeah slightly but big favourites definitely not.

We’re unbeaten in 21 games, have gone to Maidstone and rested 5 players and beaten them 3-0 (should have been more) whereas you drew 1-1 at their place very recently. We’ve also deservedly beaten Harrogate and Yeovil away from home in cup competitions as well this season.

Yeah, as well as Dagenham, Yeovil, Stevenage, Jester & Boston. Barnet lost their right to this club after their home attendance last night. That was Gateshead-esque level of tinpottery and cannot be ignored.

Bog off. Unlike all of those clubs we've never played below National League level since this league was created in 1979.

It's almost as if it's another Brotherhood, but for decent, hardworking fami Conference football clubs. If there was a League Division Five, they would be in it. I actually think apart from the lack of kudos, I'd enjoy Wrexham being in a league like that. Teams that will bring more than 10 fans to The Racecourse, and that we don't outnumber in the return fixture.

Almost makes me wish we'd been in the GM Vauxhall Conference in the 1980s. Probably would've enjoyed trips to Northwich Vics, Fisher Athletic, VS Rugby et al.

VS Rugby never played in the Alliance Premier League/GM Vauxhall Conference!
I'm not sure that you would find a trip to Fisher Athletic enjoyable. They were the Histon of the Conference in terms of tinpotness. Back then Rotherhithe was a desolate ruined place. Now it's a desolate place with a load of show homes.

Right you are. I should've done my research about tinpot clubs, rather than just trying to think back to non-league teams you used to hear Len Martin trot out on Grandstand 30-odd years ago.

I suppose an intimate knowledge of historical tinpottery would come more naturally if I supported Barnet, innit. :box:

You guys ought to be clued up now that you've been down here for 10 years, notwithstanding the fact that this time it might actually be your year..
Half of the time we're down here and the other half we're in the Football League so I need to have all bases covered!

Subsidiary league of respected non league sides (sponsored by the Brotherhood):

Aldershot
Maidstone
Barra
Daggers
Chorley
Telford
Alty
Macc
Stevenage
Chester
Kiddy
Boston
Darlington
Hereford
Woking
Bath
Dartford
Kettering
Weymouth
Kings Lynn
Scarborough
Wealdstone

I've more or less gone on attendances and tried to filter out bank rollers frauds and plastics. Due to not having an extensive knowledge of the pyramid, I may have missed some out. I take no responsibility for this.

Can't say I overly respect any of the boldened ones, for various reasons. Old Scarborough certainly had some historical respect due to a stint in the League but ultimately went down in history as a tinpotter. Barrow have historical respect also due to league position but certainly go down as a tinpotter overall using Natural Order™ assessment criteria.

Then you have the $€UM league, as follows:

MK Dons

Forest Green
Crawley
Salford
Fylde
Solihull
Eastleigh
Billericay
Boreham Wood
AFC Rushden & Diamonds (yeah you count too)
Histon

Get Southport in the subsidiary league as well.
