Brad Walker was MOTM for me. There were the comments of him being a bit of a waster but he's got his head down since joining and it is clear he has bags of ability. He's still only 22 so maybe he had too much too early in his career.

Jake Lawlor looks to have settled in well. Just a couple of ill thought short passes into midfield but some sublime longer passes into wide areas. Is he a regular with you or a bit part player?

Started every game for about 2 months now due to Manny Smith’s injury. Manny is back now so it’ll be interesting to see if he keeps his place, Lawlor is better on the ball but Manny is better in the air and a lot quicker along the ground. He’s been a very solid signing.

Well put it this way, the conditions regarding playing staff of our CURSE doctrine are as follows:

i) every youngster that Hartlepool United ever brings through must decide at some point that they can't be arsed and their performances must nose dive. They are allowed to be good at first but this must not, in any circumstance, continue.
ii) Hartlepool United are NEVER allowed to hire coaches that bring the best out of or develop young players
iii) Hartlepool United are entitled to sign world beaters for the league they play in, however, these players are not allowed to play well and thus cannot justify their previously held esteemed reputation
iv) Hartlepool United FC must accept that every single player they sell or release will go on to be a world beater at another club.
v) Hartlepool United must accept that this vicious circle of CURSEDNESSIVITY will be on going until time stands still

yeah we may need to buy another stand from you when you go back to NLS.
But in all sincerity its not the best, we came from little and have built what we needed when promoted. Its a 300 seat grandstand with a great bar social club. And then a 1000 terrace (ex driving range) another 1000 terrace we got from you and a 1200 seat stand from the Birmingham Rugby club either left or flogged to use when they left which is broken into 3 sections only one of which had a tarp roof fit for use. The ground was passed fit 2 years ago almost. If we get gates over 1700 it is under facilitated but from what i hear we have plans to move or upgrade should things fall our way.
That said, both clubs could have gone under so its good to be where we are!
I would like to see more like Solihull, Havant and Bromley in this league. If you look back at the founding members it was truly the best of non league. The BELTs have just turned this into a graveyard of failure and disappointment.

Today I am supporting fellow Brotherhood member Stockport against non league tinpotters Barnet. Come on County, demonstrate the natural order.

Never thought I'd say this after 10 consecutive defeats to Woking, but well done for beating that horrible bunch Swindon ~ absolutely made my weekend.

Sorry to disappoint you but today showed why BELTs exist.
Not that we were anything marvellous today but we did just enough to get through.

I feel sad that Chesterfield’s unbeaten run is over. It’s like the end of a geological era:oops:

Hopefully be playing you lot again next year.
Yeah, shows how shit the Southern division is when a club like Woking can just walk back to the Prem from relegation every time while in the North, clubs like Stockport, York & Darlington are serving long term sentences and Chester and Hereford are about to join them.

We were piss poor again today, good job Stockport were pretty basic. Had us penned in to our defensive third for much of the second half but never looked like scoring.

Well, an afternoon of rubbish football where we outnumbered and outsung the home fans. So basically a normal Conference North game, but with better facilities.

Fantastic support from Stockport with 1500 at the Hive.

Our starting 11 was odd, the first choice strikers were on the bench... Still got very lucky as we were not good. County had plenty of possession but had very little quality up top so although they went for it they couldn't un pick the lock.

Hope County enjoyed their day out it was a good atmosphere.

Onto round 3.... Barnet haven't had top flight opposition since 1994 v Chelsea so I think we have waited long enough.

We will probably get something crap like Woking away

"Every time".

We've been relegated once before and didn't walk back in to the Conference.

To be fair it seems like you’ve been up and down every other season for about 10 years.

Even right now I can’t rememeber whether you’re in our league or not.

Since Woking joined the Conference in 1992, this is only their 4th season at the level below, the previous period being 2009-2012.

Good performance from Wrexham on Saturday night, although not difficult to see why they're low scorers.
