Always enjoyed trips to both during our FL days, so reasonably happy with that. Neither are flying at the moment, so a result is not inconceivable.

Cant understand why the reaction from our fans has been so negative - there's not many plum draws at this stage, and far more dreadful ones.

They will be hoping Salford win as they are at home to Scunthorpe in the 2nd round.

One for the TV I suspect.

Welsh derby will be interesting - is there a rivalry between Wrexham and Newport?

Oldham might be on again at Maidstone.

They think there is. I'm not even sure there was much of one with the old Newport either.

We had coins and bottles thrown at us the first time I went there, I assume they don't like us very much.

I'm surprised they were throwing coins.

Money is hard to come by down there

(unless you win the lottery of course)

Newport also voted to throw us out of the league in 2011. A tinpot nobody team voting one of the brotherhood out.

Hope we smash them.

They also scored an injury time equaliser to relegate us here. Then took to Twitter to gloat about it. Then a few months later, Padraig Amond went on strike to join them. Newport FFS :ffs:

We deserved to get relegated, no complaints from me, but they're not my favourite team put it that way.

Quietly confident. Having a tidy season despite an injury crisis of late but have still managed to stay in the play-offs. Labadie and Crofts could be back in contention for the tie plus Bakinson and Dolan gives us a decent midfield. Strong up front with Matt and Amond knocking em in and youth on the bench in Harris and Semenyo. Problem has been our leaky defence but Franks, Bennett, O’Brien and Demetriou all back now. Should be near full strength fingers crossed.
Got any of those pensioners still playing for you ? Rope-a-dope worked a treat at Wembley if you recall.
Gogs 1 County 2.

Anyway, another terrible draw for us.

Beat Gillingham and we get a day out on plastic at Sutton :ffs:

You'll be favourites for sure. Our record at home this season has been pretty great though. Stuart Beavon is the only geriatric we've got at 34, but he's been in excellent form.

Looking forward to it.

Conversely, I'm quite pleased with the draw. I've not been to either Sutton or Slough for a game before and neither is too far away from Kent. Having said that, we'll definitely lose the replay next week - in the last few years we've gone out of the cup to lower league opposition several times - Carlisle last season, Brackley the year before, Stevenage in 2015 and Brackley again in 2013. Not the greatest cup record. Plus we're not very good this year, which doesn't help.

Well the winners of our game get 36k and as our parachute payments finish this season and it doesn't look like we'll go up this year, we need the money. It's probably half a month of wage bill for us. If we were loaded, I'd gladly forfeit the replay as going away to Sutton is not exactly the trip of my dreams.

Classy as always.

I'm sure your dozen fans will enjoy their day out.

See, this is why introduction of the Natural Order is imperative.

You currently get all these johnny-come-lately historical tinpotters who’ve reformed about 20 times giving it the big ‘un.

Almost certainly Bristol Rovers away for you, as you've got to think that we missed our opportunity on Sunday.

However, if we did manage to sneak through the replay, I'd say both teams should be quietly confident about reaching round 3. Us being at home to a lower div side, you being away to a nothing, mid-table, inconsistent higher div side. You would also bring a decent following.

If as I suspect you travel to Bristol Rovers, you would presumably be pretty big underdogs but it's not the worst draw possible for you.

Hartlepool at home is the definition of a ‘meh’ game for us. A side in our league at home is a dull draw.

No way ...we need extra cash to try and at least compete with with moneybags Salford. One of the Manchester or Merseyside clubs away in January would be most welcome. Some cheeky tw@t from Newport reckons this is our cup final. .. must have forgotten his club disappeared off the planet for the best part of 20 years.

Can't wait to watch pissed up hooligans attempt to fight one another while barely able to stand live on BT Sport (and also a football game if we're lucky).

I'm delighted that our game has been chosen for one of the live BT games. This seasons FA cup run and tv money will likely offset 10% of the cost of last seasons Cox fiasco :eek::rolleyes:o_O

Might pop along and tick your ground off for this one. Never been and with it not clashing with us means I can probably go after work.
