This could well go in the tinpot thread; Guiseley have banned us from taking drums in due to not wanting to upset neighbours.

Ours have been instrumental (teehee) in improving the atmosphere and positivity at Prenton Park. I'd go as far as saying they played a part in our promotion campaign, in that they stopped the home crowd being so negative when things weren't going our way. Thumbs up from me, as long as the drumsticks are in the hands of someone with a bit of rhythm.

This has happened to Wingate & Finchley on weeknight games behind one of our goals. Also Wealdstone bans drums from getting in to hide their embarrassing quiet support

Leicester have four designated ‘holding spaces’ for huge bass drums. Pretty tinpot. Last time I was there we were getting spanked 3-0 and an enormous shirtless chap was hitting away at one for no reason at all (the home fans weren’t making a peep) so we just sang “Jabba The Hutt/Is banging the drum” for about half an hour. Hope the cardio did him some good.

This makes zero sense. Surely us banning drums (and rightfully so) would highlight rather than hide our quiet support?

It's more of an embarrassment when a club's set of supporters need a drum or other musical instrument to generate some singing/atmosphere.

So how come when English fans have drums it’s “massively tinpot” but when Dortmund do it it’s “PURE CLASS and SHOWS UP ENGLISH FANS”?

Because it's hipster to like everything clubs like Dortmund do. Has anyone mentioned their amazing ticket prices where it is only a fiver for a season ticket? And what about that 'wall' they create. Yellow isn't it?

Hahaha dunno where that £50 season ticket rumour came from - it seemed to be believed by everyone. I know someone who went to see Spurs over there a few years ago. Was about £35 for a ticket.

The thing that annoyed me most about the media bumming German fans... when Cologne played Arsenal - their fans acting like dicks around London, trying to climb in to the away end, fighting with stewards and causing the game to be delayed. But it was described as PASSHUN whereas if it had been English fans abroad it would have been DISGRACEFUL.

Because a small group of football fans don't like drums and think making noise is being tinpot some-reason think all English fans have to sit down in silence but love foreign fans and their drums. This is why atmospheres sound like a morgue in some stadiums

I moved section of the ground due to our awful drummers, it's not just the dreadful out of beat racket they make but the swarm of brats they attract running around bored of the game getting under your feet , trying to start that awful super white army chant or the Connor Jennings never gives the ball away which surely was written tongue in cheek!!

He comes from Macclesfield, he plays for Macclesfield...... CHRIS HOLROYD

Even our stadium announcer used to roll that one out whenever he scored (thankfully not too often).

Haha that’s terrible. Worse than Aldershots version?

Oh-ee-oh, Manny Oyeleke
Oh-ee-oh, he’s got a massive willy
Oh-ee-oh, he never gives the ball away.

Our fans started singing allez allez allez last season, luckily it seems to have died out now.

Oh-ee-oh, super Joshy Coulson
Oh-ee-oh, he’s got a massive forehead
Oh-ee-oh, he always heads the ball away

is our thrilling twist on the theme.

Thankfully I have no idea what the allez thing is.

Allez Allez Allez got annoying. Wingate sang it about half a year Liverpool sang it (we took the idea off Rangers and Clapton) and now every team sings it and Liverpool get all the credit of making the song even though it's originally Italian and they were the 4th team to sing it in Britain (maybe even 5th or 6th if more teams sang it than I thought before Liverpool) and it's only because of Liverpool that song got annoying. We only still sing it because we sang it before it exploded and got annoying
