Represents our best chance of staying up. If Torquay don’t finish above us. Which they probably will.

I'd not read anything about Dagenham for a while so I just kinda assumed things were quietly being sorted out with a lower budget next season.

I'm sure they'll be fine. All London clubs will find investment sooner or later.

Just got to sell who you can sell (a transference of contract most likely), come to affordable agreements with every player you can manage and cut your cloth to a squad you can afford. Sure there will be takers for Cheek, Boucaud and Fejiri Whatshisname. You’ll be fine. Maidenhead survive on a wage bill of 230 Albanian lek, a packet of Frazzles and auctioning off their stockpile of Dave Tarpey’s used underpants.

This was the excuse used by the investor, he was not hounded out by anyone. He actually was in contact with several fans prior to Away games and joined us for several drinks before slipping off to the boardroom. Him pulling out is a combination of people hating our MD and the Investors company doing terribly with little profit and looking at huge fines for miss selling used cars. The board have cleverly blamed the fans when the overspend without guaranteeing the promised funds is the factual reason of our demise.

We have tried to offload other players and sold anyone worth any value, only two really left is Cheek but his £1200 per week wages can’t be matched by Ebbsfleet and Sutton who wanted him when this all came out, he does not really want to commute either. Hopefully Fejiri is sold ASAP. No one we have left can command a few, maybe Sparkes but he has been poor this season. Currently have 9 players and 3 managerial contracts to pay up until end of next season some on huge contracts. John Still £120k a year is a huge chunk of that. That’s 15% of our actual income without an investor.

Don't panic part time Sutton will be able to afford Cheek next season when Did doesn't have to replace his back garden.

Seriously though, hopefully all gets sorted.

If those £1,200 and £120k figures are correct, that's crazy.

Haveing a conference manager on 120k a year seems crazy

Wouldn’t surprise me.

We tried to get Cheek as backup for Cook in the summer but Dagenham outbid us.

Tranmere run a four tier wage structure, key players, first team, fringe players, youth. The top band is approx £1250 per week plus bonuses which the likes of Norwood, Cook, McNulty are on.

John Still has always been highly paid, £200k at Luton. £1,200 is about par for the big payers in this league, Solihull director confirmed to me that about £600 per week is about average in this league. Our wage bill for this season was higher than we had for league one.

I bumped into Danny Cowley at the M6 services on Saturday said he got you guys up on a budget of £550,000. Wanted Cheek for this season but could not afford him. Wants Fejiri too but can’t afford the valuation.

Don’t be suprised if we take Cheek at the end of the season, don’t think we had any budget left for this season, but with several players expected to move on during the summer, I can see JE going back in for him.

Cheek can go as far as I'm concerned. Been very disappointing this season. Thought he'd score a hatful but he's looked very average, doesn't move well and needs it on a plate for him to score.

It looks like both teams are just going for goals tonight and sod defending!
Currently Guiseley 3-3 Daggers after 40 minutes.
Best entertainment we've had this season, a mixture of b squad and academy for us.

How many goals was Elliott Green responsible for?

None so far, two from the Daggers left side, one from Coddington spilling the ball and one from the spot.
HT Guiseley 3-4 Daggers
Frempah seems to be the main culprit although St Ledger at fault for the penalty.

He's scored a hat-trick tonight.:fl:

We were told our budget started at around £500k last season but increased in the second half of the season off the back of the FA Cup games around mid-January to early March. I'd be surprised if it was £550k at the end because we brought a few players in to cover every position with two players, but it probably was around that for the most part of the season.

Also a negative transfer spend. Bought Raggett and Whitehouse but sold Margetts and Robinson.

He also claimed Braintree’s budget was about £200k when they finished 3rd.
Which was also the figure quoted by the Braintree Chairman.

I’d love to believe that but we’re not going to win the next 2 with Ebbsfleet failing to win again this season.

Unfortunately had we held on when 3-1 up against Ebbsfleet way back in September, we’d still be in with a shout. All ifs, buts and maybes though
