Thomas falling off his bike is like the sun rising in the morning. Bernal is by far a better option to back than Thomas.

He fell off again but managed to get back into the race ok.

French might be getting excited about actually having a chance of one of their own winning the Tour.

When was the last time a tour stage postponed ?

Shame for the race but safety does come first ..

Incredible day yesterday. Today shortened to 59km. Bit of an uphill parade for Bernal. Sincerely hoping Alaphilippe holds on to 2nd.

Not to be - Ineos get the 1-2 they were probably hoping for.

Alaphilippe certainly lit up the tour though!

Horrendous news that Bjorg Lambrecht crashed in Tour of Poland this afternoon and required resuscitation road side. Hoping he pulls through. One of the brightest young classics riders too.

Polish newspapers reporting he has died.

Absolutely hit for six. Devastating news.

Tragic news - wonder if the Tour will be called off as a mark of respect ?

Today's stage neutralised and apparently they'll let Lotto cross the line together first.

Still absolutely floored by this, similar to when Scarponi died. Such a talented young rider, which for some reason makes it all the harder to accept. It's hard to think what his family, friends and team mates are going through.

Remco, though.

And his interview after dedicating it to Bjorg and "stars in the sky".

Look after this kid, cycling. He's going to be running the show for the next 15 years.

I was in Hamburg with my brothers this weekend and we didn't realise until we got there that it was the Cyclassics. Watched the race go by and then managed to get pictures with Viviani and Ewan outside doping control afterwards. I couldn't resist telling Ewan that Australia had just lost the test match...

Was at the last 100m of the Vuelta finish yesterday. Nairo absolutely bossing it. Got blanked by Sam Bennett and Tony Martin riding back to the busses. Had dinner a few tables to the left of Wiggins, Brian Smith and Orla. Going to try and catch a bit of today’s stage later on.

That disqualification yesterday seems pretty fucking harsh.

Having a great time in Harrogate though, saw the junior women's race from 250m from the finish line - just a few metres along from the big smash - and then popped between 2 climbs for the u23s race so saw them twice on each lap. We're gonna do the same for the races today and tomorrow. Can't wait.

Just back from Harrogate. Did today, Friday for the U-23s (and Cycling Podcast live) and Wednesday for the ITT. Three brilliant days tbf, not sure it was quite the success Yorkshire was expecting, weather far from helped, but for the cycling nerd it was decent.

Amazing win for Pedersen. Classy rider. Had an inkling the weather would make it an outsiders day but thought once VDP bonked it’d be Trentin all day. Brilliant finish from Pedersen though.

Today’s conditions were absolutely brutal, riders looked dead by the end. I don’t think they helped the race as a spectacle but certainly meant the winner was more than worthy.

And if Crewe don’t bring Links Rechts to English football I’ll be gutted.

Could not agree more.

Saturday and Sunday were clearly quite different in terms of weather but hugely enjoyed both. We watched both races by the Shepherd's Dog pub at the top of the Otley Road climb and saw both races pass by on every lap. Legged it over to the top of the Harlow Moor Road climb (5km to go mark) to catch the men's race pass by the last time.

I managed to end up with Žiga Horvat's Oakleys after the under-23 race on Sunday!

The scenes of Links Rechts on the pitch after winning the league in May...

I stuck with Parliament St for all three days, pretty much the same spot in the last 400m. Kinda wish I made it to Harlow Moor Road for yesterday and avoided the guys cheering on 'Daniel Oss' (.... it was Shane Archbold). It was still great fun though, saw the Gilbert crash without realising it was Gilbert and Remco until after.

Everyone doing the Podium Cafe fantos this year?

Timperley Bib Shorts are back after a heroic third (or fourth? Fifth?) place last season but due to Coronavirus fears (or something) my team is shit this year. Lazily built around MvDP and Remco.

God work for last year. I fell away after the TdF and finished a couple of hundred places down.
